Worth reading before making assumptions etc about the report.

Well it was probably a Russian plot to invite Johnson again and again to get so drunk and provide him with 'women'- so much so that he could not remember his name ... to Italy at the Villas of Russian Oligarchs. They have probably got enough evidence to make Prince Andrew look like a choir boy.

What a load of rubbish, do you actually believe he organised the parties or was it civil servants who are mostly remainers and still trying to undermine the government, he didn’t buy his own birthday cake, it’s getting pathetic and some on here have clearly fallen for the media bias . Try using some common sense, there are many more serious issues than silly little parties, have you heard of Russia?

???? way to go *Brownowl564

So it’s now a remainer plot to go out and buy birthday cake to incriminate the PM…..shock

Pammie1 wins the internet today. ???

I think Nadine Dorries has infiltrated GN and is posting using several user names. This is the only explanation for the surge in posts supportive of Johnson

Bovvered, look at my face, I ain't bovvered.

Oh thanks for making me laugh- I do think you are spot on. Can't do GN emojis, don't have square brackets on my 'puter.

Geezo - Johnson cannot be trusted to ensure all is right in 10 Downing St - and you think he can be trusted dealing with Russia? ???

My friends in France have been laughing at Johnson for months now as have my friends family in Germany. Why not we laughed at Berlusconi as someone has already said.

I find it hard to believe how people get brain washed by the press, we are constantly told to ignore the press they will print anything and exaggerate to sell papers etc. There has never been a squeaky clean government, and there never will be. If Boris goes, then the next elected will be condemned after the first few months, which ever party is elected they will be condemned and always doing wrong. This is a pattern we constantly live through. I think everyone should be grateful for the way the present government has protected and guided us through an unknown pandemic. Sadly people that died had either underlying problems or refused to get vaccinated. The rest of us are alive and have survived. No other government leader in our lifetime has ever had to cope with such a horrific challenge. How many officials in Government, Council etc. didn't have there secret parties. I worked many years in council offices, and it would make your hair stand on end if you knew what they get away with. Behind closed doors. The British press are a disgrace, there are far more serious things going on than a sneaky little party. All this silliness is stirred up by the opposing parties, to hopefully get our votes next election. Just look back over the years and this always happens. Why aren't the press referring to the Labour party's little (secret Xmas party,) that leaked out and has been hushed up. Its all propaganda and political games they play. Lets concentrate on serious issues, such as the Russian problem, our rising cost of living and sort out these problems. The rest of the world must think we British are pathetic, to have our major news headlines about such rubbish.

??????

A quick survey of the major Eurpean papers shows that you are in fact correct, they think the British are pathetic. But because of the rubbish, not because the rubbish has been reported.

Apologies if my questions have already been covered in previous posts on this thread but does anyone know how many letters have already been sent to the 1922 Committee?

I don't think that the numbers are made public until there are at least enough to call for a vote of no confidence.

Well said Summerfly- all I can see is hypocrisy and hysteria- we have to move on - I have met Boris and am really not a particular supporter- however, those in parliament are showing such appalling self righteousness- It makes me feel quite sick- we employ human beings to represent us - with all their flaws and strengths. Think back - Theresa May - hardly a resounding success yet had the gall to stick the knife in - what on earth did she actually do - Responsible for the Windrush scandal - run through a field of wheat? - think - Gordon Brown- sold all the country’s gold to pay off debts- think Tony Blair - as written in a letter today in the Telegraph- took us into the Iraq war - broke up the United Kingdom - destroyed the constitutional balance of the House of Lords- ruined public finances and private pensions - remember the famous last words to George Osborne when he became chancellor - ‘there is no money left’ -
None of the previous governments had to deal with Covid - perhaps we could blame Jeremy Hunt for abandoning plans to prepare for a pandemic - he keeps carping on now - perhaps if he’d done his job properly - things might have been better? Boris himself had Covid badly- having had it badly myself, he probably felt rough and exhausted- as I did- I coughed for 3 months - the exhaustion was like nothing I’ve ever experienced- thank God I wasn’t Prime Minister. Yes - with Covid some things were wrong - But some were right - How many can honestly say that they didn’t break even the tiniest of rules? How many amongst those still working hard throughout had a drinks ‘party’ of some sort. I had a hospital appointment during lockdown- what did I see as I parked the car? A host of doctors nurses and various medical staff - all walking Through the car park, close together, ( but of course they work together)With bottles, presents, food - made me wonder if there were any staff left in the hospital- where were the police? Probably having a celebration of their own - We’ll never know will we? Nobody will investigate them -

Well too much hot air on here! I’m really not into politics at all. I think the majority of them are tarred with the same grubby brush.
Those who want to carry on about parties and booze, have a thought for the Ukrainian people, who must be really frightened right now. Families worried for their son’s and daughter’s in the armed forces.
People, here in the UK, worried sick about the ever rising cost of living and children going hungry.
I agree that these parties were completely wrong, and those involved should be brought to task, but we can’t let it take centre stage while there are far more serious, pressing problems in this sad world of ours.

Why is Starmer trying to look as uf butter wouldn't melt in his mouth? There were pictures of him and his cohorts drinking at 'a works meeting'!! Can't trust any if them regardless of party colour, only in it for themselves. Pity the whole lot don't get on with governing the country.

Don’t talk shite.

And are people picking up on the lie to Parliament when BJ was asked last year if there was a party in his flat on 13th November (2020?)?

He clearly said "No" but Sue Gray's report says there was one.

I’ve just watched the cringeworthy interview Nadine Dorries gave yesterday afternoon. I actually felt embarrassed for the foolish woman. She’s completely out of her depth and shouldn’t be allowed in front of a camera
www.channel4.com/news/the-prime-minister-tells-the-truth-says-nadine-dorries

Totally cringeworthy interview

Marjgran Tue 01-Feb-22 15:24:40

KS “Butter doesn’t melt” because his weakness is the opposite to BJs, his almost stubborn integrity, why some don’t warm to him, not enough “charisma”. Give me integrity over showmanship any day. Boris is indeed our Berlusconi and how we laughed..

He was in a constituency office with colleagues. They were working. They stopped for something to eat then they continued working.
No party invites no BYOB.
One work meeting with supper.
