The queen has my sympathy!

I can’t in a million years understand all the vitriol against him for nothing apart from him being seen as a traitor for leaving the country don’t blame his best thing he could have done for his family !!
It's not the leaving, it's what he has done over the last couple of years Bluebelle. It's not that he left the country and didn't want to carry out Royal duties - that is fine! Emigrate, live a happy life!

It's because he publically trashed his birth family, still wants the adulation and publicity that is only his because of who he was, was upset when his HRH title and his honorary titles were removed and rades on his mother's name.

dignity - yes, that is lacking.

*I fully sympathise with his concerns. He was chased by reporters when he returned to Britain for the unveiling of his mother's statue, last year. Given what happened to his mother I can understand his worries about security which are fully justified* I totally agree jannamax

I think he would like to be a normal person free to come and go but the media and some very nasty people would not allow it He must have his mums treatment very much in the top of his mind He has said he will pay

Yes but it wasn't that he just 'left the country' that people have issue with. Its the fact he goes on tacky talk shows and rubbishes the Royal family.
That's what people dislike.
Talk about bitng the hand that feeds you.
I think people would be more likely to wish them well if they showed a bit more dignity.

It could be Jane Bond!

Josieann Sat 19-Feb-22 12:01:56

No, no not James Bond! If they hired him Harry would spend all the time asking if he could get Meghan a part in the nexr film.

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 19-Feb-22 12:01:31

They’re still deciding who he is aren’t they??

*greenlady*, even if he did offer to pay that amounts to hiring the police, which cannot be done. They are not available for hire by any private person. This has been said many times on this and other threads.

Where's James Bond when you need him?

Prince Harry actually offered to pay for the security but that was refused too. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-60438739

That’s because AFAIK our police are not available for hire.

If he was willing to pay, why not use a commercial security firm?

I think you’ll find that no offer to pay was ever made if you look at the opening statements of the Court case.

I’d post a link if I knew how but it’s easy to find.

Princess Anne was the victim of an attempted abduction at gunpoint. You don’t hear her bleating and she’s the reigning Monarch’s daughter.

Diana wasn’t the victim of any such plot rather the victim of circumstance.

Boz

This is just another chapter in the PR war.

Nice little family is thwarted by nasty British Establishment from coming to see his Great Granny.

And judging from comments from fans, it works.

Hahaha!

I'm always amazed by posters who trash the Daily Mail - 'that dreadful rag' - but seem to know its contents. I don't read it and have no idea what its contents are.

It's amazing, isn't it!

Some posters must spend ages scouring it daily with horror, so that they can report back of the rest of us just how dreadful it is. ?

I'm off to have a look at that photo of Harry ???

Anniebach Sat 19-Feb-22 11:22:29

Eugenie and Beatrice are far more vulnerable to an attack and they don’t have protection

maddyone Sat 19-Feb-22 11:16:09

Josieann I’m afraid I’m not familiar with Harry’s fish and chip shop ? Maybe I should develop an interest, just in case.

henetha Sat 19-Feb-22 11:14:36

I'm so disappointed in Harry. I thought he was one of the good guys, but not any more.
I am so sorry for the Queen with all this going on in her family. She is no bloodsucker, but has been a steadfast head of state and she will be badly missed.

I totally agree Anniebach

Anniebach Sat 19-Feb-22 11:02:31

Load of rubbish - he wants to see his grandmother. He has criticised her parenting, that’s not love. He wants to be on Buck
House balcony in June, he doesn’t want to miss being
photographed by the world press.

Who when seeking privacy gives an interview on a double deck
bus ?

Grantanow Sat 19-Feb-22 11:01:09

Waste of space!

eazybee Sat 19-Feb-22 10:47:33

There are a lot of nutters out there who believe everything the Daily Fail and all who sail in her, write about him.
Interesting comment, Lady leftfield; your sentiments and language echo the comments I heard expressed recently:
a populist paper much read by the loony right.
Which publication forms your opinion, clearly not original but an increasingly common (in every sense of the word) form of attack?

Callistemon21 Sat 19-Feb-22 10:43:41

?

Josieann Sat 19-Feb-22 10:43:22

Do you know this fish and chip shop in Chichester maddyone? A ready made business waiting for him!

*Callistemon*. Let's get rid of thepretentious Polly Toynbee.
She's like a mosquito

I second that!

The real bloodsuckers are the Royals

tickingbird Sat 19-Feb-22 10:39:58

So it’s all down to The Daily Mail??

Get rid of that ‘rag’ and all will be well in the world. Hilarious ?
