So it seems that Prince Harry has decided to not attend his grandfather’s memorial service on 29th March at Westminster Abbey. I’m not surprised, are you?

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 18-Mar-22 22:38:17

It was to nadateturbe.

If I felt that a valid point was being made I would acknowledge it.

Didn’t mean you gsm !

volver Fri 18-Mar-22 17:18:01

Or, we could talk about toilet paper.

Sometimes you can listen and not actually hear. Or know that someone is making a very valid point and just refuse to acknowledge it for some reason.

And yes Lucca. It's not compulsory to answer. I think we all don't answer at times.

Sorry I came back.. so frustrating....

Anniebach

GSM for some reason grany refuses to say.

Like you often don’t ….! It’s not compulsory

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 18-Mar-22 16:25:18

We’ve heard it all before, so many times nadateturbe. It no longer needs thinking about. It’s all too predictable.

nadateturbe Fri 18-Mar-22 15:33:49

You can joke about this but queen and her family are having the last laugh.

I agree. Sometimes it would be good to actually think about what is being said.

Anniebach Fri 18-Mar-22 14:11:10

Yes after 9/11, it was read out in a church , and she is so right

Calendargirl Fri 18-Mar-22 13:14:10

Smileless2012

Yes. When her mother died she said 'grief is the price we pay for love'.

I thought she said that after 9/11, as Bill Clinton commented on it, but I may be wrong.

Whatever, it’s a very appropriate turn of phrase.

Anniebach Fri 18-Mar-22 10:51:27

Who is joking ? I asked a question, surely you can answer ,

either say how many rolls of lavatory paper or you don’t know

Grany Fri 18-Mar-22 10:30:57

Would you think £345 million on one family with their many grand homes palaces castles and land for extended family very little rent or rent free isn't extravagant?

Plus the two duchies one for queen one for Charles giving them £22 million each a bit extravagant? You can joke about this but queen and her family are having the last laugh.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 18-Mar-22 09:34:16

I suspect her intel isn't that great Annie. You would think that any overspending even on bog standard items would be closely monitored to give weight to the republican cause.

Anniebach Fri 18-Mar-22 09:28:33

GSM for some reason grany refuses to say.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 18-Mar-22 09:27:02

And what type of paper, how expensive, is it monogrammed? It's so important to drill down to the details.

Anniebach Fri 18-Mar-22 09:26:54

She said in Aberfan , ‘I will come back’, she did , 4 more times

Anniebach Fri 18-Mar-22 09:22:17

Grany you still haven’t said how many rolls of lavatory paper
the royals use, you must know, you seem to know everything about them,

Smileless2012 Fri 18-Mar-22 09:17:56

Yes. When her mother died she said 'grief is the price we pay for love'.

Grany Fri 18-Mar-22 09:15:56

What has the queen actually done can you think of anything she has said through her long 'reign' ? No she has to say nothing a Christmas message prepared to read on autoque each year.

eazybee Fri 18-Mar-22 08:57:20

Joe Biden, elected President, has committed more gaffes in his short term in office than the Queen has in her lifetime.
He is dangerous, she is not.

Why Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Royal Escape Was Inevitable
A new Vice special, Meghan Markle: Escaping the Crown, posits that Meghan had no choice but to flee the monarchy—a stubborn institution built on exclusion and steeped in racism.

Ah, but the Queen doesn't own the UK and if your AC were useless (which I'm sure they are not) you could replace them with people who weren't...

Fair point volver

And as for AC being useless, they have had their moments.

Maybe a bit like DH and I who own our SME, and get paid to stay at home whilst three of our AC do the day to day running of it…
