Omg. Such brutal treatment of an innocent woman. I really admire her strength and sheer tenacity .One day her daughter will be so very very proud of her mum and dad.

She has to be careful what she says. Her family are still back in Iran. If she is too critical of the Iranian government it might justify their claims that she was in Iran to undermine the government,

Allsorts absolutely Iranian regime was responsible for her imprisonment but the British government do not appear to have handled the case well. In fact it is likely that they may have prolonged her confinement by poor diplomacy. Nothing to be pleased about.

Is that what they think in your part of France? It's certainly not the case in my part of England!

It was the French who commented how Brits here don't like to talk politics. I do as do most of our friends but we have come across others in England who don't particularly when there are disagreements.

I saw some of her interview yesterday. My abiding impression is of an elegant, well groomed, articulate woman and I thought that she has a career ahead of her in the public domain. I suppose that I shouldn't be surprised at some of the hateful comments on here.

There are enough bad things happening in the world and yet some of the comments I’m reading on Facebook and other forums are turning my stomach. As if Nazanin and her family haven’t been through enough. I’m sickened by it.

There has been a surprising backlash to this. I assumed we'd all have been thrilled with some good news. And yes, she criticised the government but wouldn't we all? Some decades old debt and a hapless soon to be PM commenting when he knew nothing about the case.

I think she'll be after a political career at some point. Just my guess really.

Even No 10 have asked for the backlash to stop.

Trouble with social media, and Twitter in particular, people just get carried away and then it all turns nasty.

I do feel for her. I hope she's not paying too much attention to all this negativity.

I truly hope that Nazanin and her family are able to settle down and get on with life normally now. I feel for her parents back in Iran. I wonder if they’ll try to come here eventually. Obviously Nazanin will never be able to return to Iran to see them so maybe they will, although they may well have other family they don’t want to leave. She’s home, but it’s still a sad situation for the family.

I did say I was surprised she didn’t criticise Iran, but then realised when others mentioned it that of course she wouldn’t because her family are still there. I just hadn’t thought that far, and I do wish that posters wouldn’t be so quick to judge because I only wish happiness to Nazanin and her family.

It is likely dangerous for Nazanin to criticise the regime in Iran, and there is no dispute over who kept her prisoner and treated her abominably, no argument there. But, she does have valid cause to question why it took so long for the British government to get her and others out, and I think she is to be respected for her dignity, her anger, her wanting questions answered.
