Yesterday was the anniversary of the wall of remembrance.

Yesterday Johnson held a dinner for all the Tory MPs.

Yesterday the bereaved families stood outside of the hotel as an act of remembrance.

Yesterday not a single Tory MPs recognised the bereaved existence as they walked by.

Yesterday not a single Tory MP offered a word of condolence.

As Gordon Brown said. “

“There is hardship and they don’t hear

There is suffering and they don’t see

There is pain and they walk on by”

What has the Tory Party become?

I'm intrigued to discover how we can expect 'unbiased rational discussion' from someone who loftily demands it and then says 'Captain Hindsight' in their next breath hmm

?. Humbug

Allsorts, I look forward to reading your 'positive' take on why those Tory MPs walked past, on their way to yet another party, without acknowledging the wall of remembrance ceremony, and the attending bereaved families. Captain Hindsight? Seriously? Yes, I much prefer a politician who can look back and learn from mistakes, to one who continuously repeats the same errors. If people have the sense and courage to use tactical voting in the local elections this May...

Has a GN splinter group been formed ??

volver Fri 01-Apr-22 08:10:17

There does seem to be a remarkable outbreak of people saying across different threads how all this anger is bad for our health. A suspicious person might think it was co-ordinated.

Lucca Fri 01-Apr-22 08:05:04

Ah I thought that might be the case. An agreed plan of action?!

Allsorts Fri 01-Apr-22 07:58:46

We wave you all agree, should have read, we let you all agree,

Allsorts Fri 01-Apr-22 07:57:26

The reason no one other than yourselves bothers to post with this sort of post, is because your views are so deeply entrenched, we I wave you to all agree. I prefer unbiased factual discussion, you don't have to endorse everything your party does , far from it, but all this anger at everything is wearying, but never mind Captain Hindsight will sort it.

Not a single post in support of the government?

Hmm.

Hope this translates into votes?.

Call me Pollyanna, but I do believe there are still people who aim to go into politics because they genuinely want to do a good job for their constituencies. However, the current government must surely put off anyone thinking of standing for election on a Conservative ticket. The lying, corruption, cronyism and elitism is surely too blatant for anyone with any integrity to ignore.

Grantanow Fri 01-Apr-22 00:18:45

Johnson couldn't care less and it'as not worth wasting words on his delinquency. He should resign.

Iam64 Thu 31-Mar-22 21:53:52

Whitewave - keep up the outrage. It’s bad for your mental health and moral compass not to be outraged by the current government

Shizam Thu 31-Mar-22 21:42:31

They got a whopping 80 seat majority at last election, everyone seemed to love the clown in charge. Opposition need to get on TikTok. Apparently the only thing younger people engage with.

I too will never stop criticising this sordid, self serving cabal of liars. It saddens me to see what they are wilfully doing to people, to this country's international reputation and it angers me when people keep voting for more of it. By ticking the box next to the Conservative candidate however "nice" they are, you are agreeing to make life far worse for a lot of people, why would anyone want to do that?

Your last question. I so wish I had the answer, but it absolutely bewilders me. Even someone of extreme wealth is human and must have empathy for the poorest?

But to sit and watch the poor being deliberately made poorer, not to mention us pensioners who will have something like a 5 % pay cut this year. And everything else that they have done from questions about their security risk, to corruption, to greed, to utter lack of empathy. On and on it goes.

Crack on WWM2. I am more concerned by the people who are not outraged to the max.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 31-Mar-22 16:51:11

I am really heartened at the posts. Decency and morality. I’m sure others feel the same.

Tinydancer Thu 31-Mar-22 16:38:23

Unbelievable that someone questions the OPs stamina rather than the actual subject in question. Whataboutery at it's best.
Another poster quotes never discuss religion or politics. Depends if you can defend your opinion when it comes to politics.

Esmay Thu 31-Mar-22 16:36:18

Never have I felt so disgusted by our self serving government .
I have absolutely no confidence in them .

But, but, but, WWmk2, I thought yout thought they were evil bastards in the pit of iniquity already. So asking what the Tory Party has become seems a little odd coming from you.

Now, if it had been a previous Tory voter (I daresay such a person exists) saying this, I'd have understood the outrage. When you're outraged to the max ALL THE TIME it has less oomph.

Just saying ?
Not sure it's altogether good for one's mental health though I have to say I'm impressed by your stamina.

Just when you think that they can’t sink any lower……..

As for my stamina. What do you suggest that I do given that I think this is one of the worse governments ever. A government that is trashing so much that is held dear by so many.

Ignore it?

Let it continue without criticism?

Think again.

People can disregard Labour because the man who led them 12 years ago made an ill advised remark.

But voted for a man who lied about just about everything and called homosexuals tank topped bum boys.

Is it any wonder we're in the state we are?

My sentiments exactly!

Mine too! There are also those who say they won't vote Labour because Jeremy Corbyn used to be their leader...

Mine Thu 31-Mar-22 14:52:24
Why anyone ever voted in a Tory Goverment after the devastation Margaret Thatcher caused is beyond words....Tories don't give a hoot bout working class people...

Another good post IMO!
