We need to untangle the meaning of the OP first PamelaJ1 then all will be as clear as mud crystal.

Basically, anyone who believes in the effectiveness of vaccines, that climate change is real, that the Earth is round, AND that there are obvious long-term, biological differences between men & women?

Earth is not round as in this emoji ? It's not flat, either, before anyone challenges me

Not being a scientist, though, does mean that one should be circumspect about stating things as fact when one doesn't really know what one is talking about.

Scinece is as variable as art. We all know about science that was honestly and truly believed in at the time but was proved wrong.

The big bang, lobotomies, numerous fads and fashiols in medecine.

Alfred Wegner, whose research into core geology led him to describe the science of tectonic plates, the way continents drifted across the surface of the earth. He introduced the theory in 1912 and was widely ridiculed and ignored, until the 1960s when space satellites proved he was right. For 50 years the best geologist laughed at his ideas.

Science is no more hard and fast than any other subject.

volver being a scientist does not make you immune from unconscious bias.

I know that vaccines have saved many lives.
I know that climate change is causing the world to heat up, or the other way round.
I know that the world is round.
And I know that two XX chromosomes equals female and XY chromosomes equals male.
I know that a person can’t change sex but can live as the opposite sex if they want to.

I can’t say whether or not politics ever influences my point of view, but under Labour and Tory declarations of ‘the truth’, I’ve made more effort not to let it.
I believe the science mentioned by maddyone above to be accurate and truthful. I can’t say that about politics.

I too think science is not a belief.

It is not a fixed point.

Science doesn't have fixed points, it needs open minds. Without an open mind, science is worthless.

People have beliefs that help them feel more comfortable with the world around them.

Beliefs should not be assigned to science. Science should not be used to prove beliefs, it should be used to investigate them and the findings witnessed and shared without prejudice.

So when it comes to climate change or understanding a human beings need to transition.... Well you need to look at the people who don't want to listen to the understanding we have so far and wonder what their personal motivations are for ignoring the evidence and why they would want to stop future evidence coming to light.

Even if that is just a rigid belief that their limited understanding of basic biology is all there is and all there ever will be.

I am still trying to fathom out what the OP is trying to provoke in terms of debate.
Science is evidence/ research based so if you don't believe it perhaps one has not read enough about a particular topic or properly understand it.

Climate change is part of science...

M/ F do have different physical attributes..I believe that!
But males & females can have various attitudes, behaviours, like, dislikes etc and males are not all anything anymore than all females are! Gender 'stereotypes' are able to be challenged and if a biological M feels they fit better into a F gender stereotype / psyche or vice versa.. that is not a problem me.
Any person who masquerades as F or M to deliberately con another person into an emotional relationship or for a sexual purpose is just not nice!
If a person, M or F is genuinely living with a different gender that is not a problem for me.

Are you saying that the majority of folks dismiss science as propaganda & mis- truths.?

Lack of respect for scientific knowledge IS politically generated. Right wing politicians NEED most of the people to be ignorant underlings.

Facts are facts. If a scientific experiment or observation has been carried out correctly, outcomes are facts. Somebody might come along and claim that the original experiment didn't take other factors into account or further experiments might show different results. The problems arise when facts are misinterpreted and/or cherry picked to suit a non-scientific agenda or alternative hypotheses haven't been tested.

Sorry to disappoint but I have given up on political beliefs, other than I believe the Politicians believe what they are saying at the time the say it, which really is of no help at all.

Political beliefs include issues such as believing in equality or freedom, neither of which are as straightforward as people think. You don't need to support a political party to have beliefs.

Why are we giving any credence to someone who says they "love science" and then gives us the most unscientific, untested, self-evaluated opinion I have seen in a long time.

Add to this the evident bias of the poster and I can only see the post as unproved mumbo-jumbo that is an insult to scientists the poster attempts to use to back her argument.

I've been told the reverse, my political stance identified by the stance I take, informed by science, in a field that I am interested in. I'm 'right wing' apparently...
