The Daily Mail is reporting that he’ll be gone by next week. Having a Green Card apparently carries a legal undertaking that you intend to make the USA your permanent home and the Americans may stop Sunak from returning to the USA.

I'm trying to verify that assertion about green card and the legal undertaking to settle in the US. Nothing I found said anything at all like that. All I could find was that holding a green card for a number of years entitled you to apply for US citizenship. Even obtaining US citizenship carries no obligation to permanently settle in the US.

I suspect this is just a bit of poor research (or no research at all) on the part of the journalist.

bridgejj, would you want everybody to receive this as the state pension? What about people who get paid very healthy pensions including those who have worked for the State?
