Johnson and Sunak to be served fixed penalty notices. Will he still maintain he didn't break the law?

Nobody has "snitched", we're not in primary school.

Number 10 said they would admit it if the two of them got fined. And they did.

Thank you volver this information was not on the BBC lunchtime news.

I would just love to hear from one or more of the usual "Boris supporters" on here. Just to see if they think its all just a petty thing and we all just need to move on.

You're welcome GG13. It came out online a few minutes after the "30 new fines" news.

For what it’s worth I think they should both resign, along with any senior civil servants.

Who has the stomach for PM Truss?

It has always been the case that NO 10 said we would be told if they were fined.

This must be the first true statement that has come out of No. 10 in the past three years.. I'm happy that one promise has been kept...

We now need the FULL Sue Gray report

Whitewavemark2 Tue 12-Apr-22 14:59:51

Apparently Johnson is the first sitting prime minister to break the criminal law.

I’ve contacted my MP (again)! Might write to Roger Gale as well regarding those letters of no confidence regarding Johnson.

You better be quick Maybee70. Gale has just said "now is not the time" angry

I see what he means. You only get one shot at it and then have to wait for ( I think) another year. Still going to write to him though and say we can’t continue with such shameful lying people running the country.

The police have now completely shredded Boris Johnson’s claims that no laws were broken in No10. He cannot be trusted and cannot continue as Prime Minister.

No other leader in any other organisation would be allowed to continue after law-breaking on this scale

I still don't see any response from the Boris-loving Tories on this thread.
And, by the way, Carrie has also been given a fixed penalty notice.
I feel our beloved country is shamed and humiliated with these lying, hypocritical, law-breaking, self-serving people at the helm.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 12-Apr-22 15:21:34

How many Tory MPs think breaking the law should have consequences?

I always thought that they consider themselves the party of law and order.

Well, we will see.

Joane123 Tue 12-Apr-22 15:23:28

They should resign - how on earth can they carry on after this but I suppose there will be excuse after excuse yet again.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 12-Apr-22 15:24:08

The week in Tory MPs so far: one convicted of molesting a minor, another having to apologise for defending said paedophile, PM and chancellor convicted of breaking the COVID laws they wrote. And it’s only Tuesday.

What a ridiculous place to take such tiny children - life-size animatronic dinosaurs. It will have scared them to death.

Another error of judgement.

Oh sorry I didn’t see this and have started another thread. I’ll get it zapped

Me too!!

GrannyGravy13 Tue 12-Apr-22 15:38:25

Luckygirl3 Paradise Wildlife Park is a wonderful place for children.

My two 2yr old GS’s love it and they are obsessed with dinosaurs of all sizes, not even upset by the very large animatronic ones in the Natural History Museum in London.

Luckygirl3 Tue 12-Apr-22 15:39:03

I really can see BJ continuing, so clear has it become that the Tories hold the law in contempt.

Unless the backbenchers revolt, then there is nothing we can do. It may be that the backbenchers will realise that they will be clobbered on the doorsteps by their constituents - especially those who stuck by the rules or lost loved ones during the epidemic - and that this might stir them into action. Respect for the law won't count with them - self-interest might.

What a pathetic state our country's "democracy" is now in.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 12-Apr-22 15:39:32

Mine were terrified when they were tiny.

JaneJudge Tue 12-Apr-22 15:44:42

how did he manage to get fuel to go to the wildlife park in his pyjamas

GrannyGravy13 Tue 12-Apr-22 15:46:49

Whitewavemark2

Mine were terrified when they were tiny.

So we’re mine Whitewavemark2 but not the GC, they take everything in their stride now. It’s taken a few months of being out and about normally for the 2yr olds as they were only 6months and 2months at the start of lockdown no.1 but now they appear to be fearless.

I guess it’s down to the availability of so many films on big screen TVs at home?
