Prince Harry and Meghan secretly visit Queen in Windsor: Duchess sets foot on UK soil for first time in two years for 'olive branch' meeting after couple snubbed Philip's memorial on security grounds - but Lilibet and Archie stay in California

And there it is.

Smileless2012 Sat 16-Apr-22 11:01:18

I agree Annie there is a big difference between 'it's true' and 'if it's true' and no one has said that it is true.

Me too maddyone I don't bother baking one as there's just the two of us, but I do love it.

A piece winging its way to you tomorrow Callistemon. I wonder if the Queen likes simnal cake ?

Callistemon21 Sat 16-Apr-22 10:52:29

Yes please, I need a piece of cake, maddyone

maddyone Sat 16-Apr-22 10:32:10

I’ve made a nice simnal cake this Easter grin

Anniebach Sat 16-Apr-22 09:59:34

Smileless has anyone said it’s true ? I haven’t read it, big different between ‘it’s true’ and ‘if it’s true’ is there not ?

According to DM the Queen insisted they see Prince Charles first which apparently they did for 15 minutes. Netflix are following them at the Invictus games so it may just be speculation they will use meeting the Queen. As it is Harry and Meghan have kept remarkably quiet for once. Who knew they were coming? Maybe reconciliation is on the cards.

volver Sat 16-Apr-22 09:55:03

Indeed.

Smileless2012 Sat 16-Apr-22 09:53:41

If not true then obviously the shame is in who ever has said so volver.

volver Sat 16-Apr-22 09:49:47

And if not true...?

Who is the shame on then?

Anniebach Sat 16-Apr-22 09:44:39

If true shame on them

25Avalon Sat 16-Apr-22 09:42:49

It is now being said they will use the visit for their next Netflix. Who knows? At least the Queen will have got to see them.

Sodapop estrangements are awful for those involved, and it must be particularly difficult for this family with everything played out in public.

maddyone Fri 15-Apr-22 19:12:20

Lucca smile

It does seem a shame that the Sussexes didn't bring their children to see the Queen and the rest of their family. Family estrangement are very difficult as we have seen from many threads on GN.

maddyone

I apologise for any who I might have upset earlier on. I’ve just come back to this thread to say that. I see that the comment was made in a humorous way, not how I interpreted it. My husband tells me all the time I’ve got no sense of humour. It seems he’s right.

No worries Maddyone !

Callistemon21 Fri 15-Apr-22 17:47:59

Perhaps they have.
Who knows?

Perhaps the Queen is avoiding treading on bits of Lego, playing peekaboo with Lilibet as we speak. Sorry, post.

Smileless2012 Fri 15-Apr-22 17:45:56

Yes that is a pity varian, it would be sad if she never gets to see Archie again and of course has never seen his sister.

varian Fri 15-Apr-22 17:43:26

I think it was a pity they didn't bring their children to meet their great-granny.

I'm sure, if she is at all like us grannies, HM would have loved to meet them.

They could have safely left the children with a nanny at Windsor while they went to the Netherlands and picked them up on the way back.

I know the queen now has quite a lot of great-grandchildren, but each one is special.

Smileless2012 Fri 15-Apr-22 17:28:45

Callistemon does have a point there maddyonesmile.

maddyone Fri 15-Apr-22 17:20:58

Callistemon grin

Callistemon21 Fri 15-Apr-22 17:17:24

Just because you don't laugh at his jokes doesn't mean you've got no SOH maddyone wink
