I don’t understand why people keep missing the point. Johnson has to go. Johnson going does not mean that Tory voters need to change their allegiance. It’s not about the next general election, that is two years away.
People will still vote Tory because there’s absolutely no credible alternative. Sir Kier Starmer just isn’t that popular & the Labour Party seem a bit lost.
I don't think they are Kandinsky. I think the plan is rolling out. I hope it is what we want. That is different to thinking it doesn't exist.
There is simply no point in them sounding as if they are the government. They aren't. Nor can they overcome Johnson's majority. This sort of majority spawns dictators. I think Dictator would be one of the words that come to mind when I think of "Johnson".
I am a Conservative at heart, but Mr.Johnson does not represent what I understand to be ^grass roots Conservatism^
The words "nail", "head" and "hit" come to mind when I read that GrannyGravy. I have a friend who is a Conservative (I have several) We talk about "Conservatives" and "The Johnson Government" as if they are two separate things, which, in truth, they are.
NB (for all): Liar, the most often chosen word, was used by 71% of the sample.

I realised the other day that ‘there is no alternative’ is a sort of mantra that has seeped into peoples consciousness. It simply isn’t true.
Agree MayBee70! It’s a very powerful ploy to make people believe they should either stick with the status quo or abstain from voting altogether (which usually benefits the Conservatives). There is a highly credible and effective opposition - certainly more credible than the bunch in power at the moment.
I voted for Blair in 97’ & was so happy Labour finally got in. I really thought Blair was the answer to all the countries problems ( matter of much divided opinion with hindsight) - I just don’t feel that enthusiasm with Labour now though. And I’m not sure why?

They are a fair bit better than the Tories though. But keep believing that lie, it's what has got us in this huge mess with a bunch of crooks.
