Con MP Neil Parish has been named as the MP viewing porn sites whilst in The House of Commons.
He is a married father and grandfather shame on him if this is proved correct.

Apart from the incriminating photo of Warburton looking spaced out beside lines of white powder, there are text messages such as "does your dealer do Westminster Bridge?" and "£160 for cocaine is good value". The three women who he allegedly molested could not report it to their HR manager as she is married to this disgraceful man. He is now apparently sheltering in a psychiatric unit. Does that give him a "get out of jail free card?".

Meanwhile who is representing his constituents?

I agree that MPs should not be scrolling through mobile phones, let alone accessing pornography, tin the House of Commons. It is right that Neil Parrish has resigned a few days after being outed, so his constituents will now be able to vote for a decent person to represent them.

Meanwhile David Warburton, MP for Somerton and Frome has not resigned, some four weeks after being accused of sexual harassment by three different women, taking class A drugs and having borrowed a huge amount of money from a very dodgy Russian.

When will the voters of Somerton and Frome get the chance to elect a decent MP?

Jane 43 We thought exactly the same as you. Put words into his mouth.

At least he has resigned unlike some of the front bench who lie to parliament and the people. I think it’s absolutely right that he resigned and others more senior should take a leaf out of his book.

Nobody in the Commons chamber should be using their phones. They are there to run the country and being paid to do so by us.

Dickens

I think he's stated something along the lines that he may have "accidentally" opened a porn video. hmm

Why are MPs scrolling through their iPhones anyway when they're in the House?

Like others, I feel sorry for his wife, but her comment, "that if women were "mad" with every man who watched porn "you would not have many wives in the world". has lessened my sympathy somewhat. Entirely missing the point.

... and not all porn is harmless either. Does she, or the men who watch, know that it's an industry into which women are frequently trafficked? And that some men have admitted that their addiction to it has led to them being unable to hold down normal relationships with their wives and girlfriends?

He just should not have been watching it at work, it's as simple as that.

This seems to have been suggested by the person who interviewed him. It was on the news last night and the interviewer said,’Was it an accident?’ When Parish wouldn't comment and said he would wait for the result of the inquiry the interviewer said, ‘I meant did you open it by accident?’ Which is when Parish seemed to cotton on to the idea then said that he did. I thought at the time that the interviewer had given him an idea of what line to take and that the interviewer was at fault.

With its lies, con artistry, sleaze and corruption, the Tory "fish" really is rotting from the head downwards, ?

toscalily Sat 30-Apr-22 15:31:51

He was probably hoping the Tory party would rally round, tell the female MP's to be quiet and it would all blow over. Such arrogance.

Blossoming Sat 30-Apr-22 15:27:06

Why do they have to be FORCED to resign when it’s obvious it’s the only decent thing they could do?

I do feel sorry for his family, and also for his female colleagues in Westminster. If I’d seen a colleague sitting next to me and watching porn I’d have felt physically sick!

Riverwalk Sat 30-Apr-22 15:19:01

John Deere! grin

Mamie Sat 30-Apr-22 15:17:26

He said the first time was accidental because he was looking at tractors.
Twitter says his wife has left him a John Deere letter. ?

MawtheMerrier Sat 30-Apr-22 15:16:20

What a sad, pathetic person he is.
I have no sympathy whatsoever for someone who trousers an MP’s salary for looking at EITHER tractors OR porn when he should be doing his job.

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 30-Apr-22 15:13:17

How easily someone can destroy their career, reputation and maybe family.

Grandmabatty Sat 30-Apr-22 15:07:21

Apparently he has now resigned citing a 'moment of madness.'

Gongoozler Sat 30-Apr-22 15:05:33

Luckygirl3

He is implying, although not saying, that he landed up on the site by mistake .... hmmmm.

I think that MPs should hand in their phones as they walk into the chamber - watching anything at all on your phone means that you are not concentrating on the job you are being paid to do.

Couldn’t agree more.

Joseanne Sat 30-Apr-22 14:44:42

Good. If he's making the announcement on the streets of Honiton I'd be happy to go and jeer.
What I don't understand is why these people want to end their successful political careers in the gutter.

Grandmabatty Sat 30-Apr-22 14:44:17

He's not resigned yet though.

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 30-Apr-22 14:37:40

That’s been breaking news since lunchtime.

Ramblingrose22 Sat 30-Apr-22 14:35:46

Good news folks - breaking news says the prat is going to resign. Hope it's true. After all, the witnesses weren't any old Thomasina, Ricki or Harriet - they were Tory MPs too who just happened to be female. Bad luck eh!

It's about time the system treated parliamentarians like us ordinary folk.

BlueBelle Sat 30-Apr-22 14:31:03

Of course it won’t just be there on your phone Vegansrock he s just making ridiculous unbelievable excuses
And
Of course I understand porn is more unacceptable Galaxy but what I mean is NOTHING should be watched when working nothing is acceptable

vegansrock Sat 30-Apr-22 14:20:50

Porn won’t accidentally pop up unless you’d been watching it before , besides which he’d be on a public HoC wifi so would have to be logged in .

Galaxy Sat 30-Apr-22 14:09:18

No I am saying its more serious because it is porn. You are involving people in your 'getting off' (sorry there is no polite way to put this) without their consent.

BlueBelle Sat 30-Apr-22 14:07:33

Galaxy it doesn’t matter what he’s watching because he shouldn’t be watching ANYTHING
Are you saying hr can watch anything else at work but not Porn
That’s crazy
It’s up to his wife to sort out her marriage if he’s watching porn full stop but the problem is whatever he’s watching even if it’s Andy pandy he’s not paying attention to his work is he ?

Parsley3 Sat 30-Apr-22 14:06:24

He is expected to resign according to BBC news.

H1954 Sat 30-Apr-22 14:06:08

What a sleazy, disgusting excuse of a man! No one accidentally watches porn!

He shouldn't have even been using his mobile in the Commons anyway, he's supposed to be working isn't he?!

And for his wife to comment that many husbands watch porn..........she making excuses because she's afraid he will lose his seat and all the gratuities that go with it! She is as bad as him!

Galaxy Sat 30-Apr-22 14:01:44

Of course it matters what he was watching. It wasnt an episode of Eastenders. I view people watching porn in front of others without their consent in the sane way as I view people who expose themselves.
