Con MP Neil Parish has been named as the MP viewing porn sites whilst in The House of Commons.
He is a married father and grandfather shame on him if this is proved correct.

I feel sorry for his family.

He’s had the Whip withdrawn. ??

Accessing pornography in anyones workplace should be an automatic dismissal.

Neil Parish, the MP who was watching porn in parliament, went on GB News earlier this week and discussed the unnamed MP who was watching porn in parliament.

???there is no end to their lies is there?

I think he said whoever it was should go, then days later he turned himself in presumably before someone else did.
No sympathy for him
but terribly embarrassing and distressing for the family.
He looked very sheepish when interviewed on ch4 just now.

He lives in Somerset and is the MP for Tiverton and Honiton. He says he will continue to carry out duties after having the whip removed over the Commons allegations.

Oh dear.
Maybe best if he stops digging. I feel so sorry for the shame he’s brought upon his wife and family.

Oh my goodness, I missed that. What is the matter with them all? Why do they think they will get away with this stuff?

What was he thinking?

Seriously - porn habit aside, he clearly has zero sense of judgement to even think of accessing it in public in the HoC, but to then go on TV to castigate 'the culprit' is just stupid. He must have realised that as he had been caught because someone had seen him 'in action', he had also been named.

timetogo2016 Fri 29-Apr-22 19:33:08

Blimey, parliament must be more of a bore than i ever thought it could be.
IF and i say IF it is proven he did watch porn than lord help him.
Why though didn`t the women shout it from the roof tops there and then and show him up for the person he is, if guilty that is.
And yes i too feel for his family either way.

I think he's stated something along the lines that he may have "accidentally" opened a porn video. hmm

Why are MPs scrolling through their iPhones anyway when they're in the House?

Like others, I feel sorry for his wife, but her comment, "that if women were "mad" with every man who watched porn "you would not have many wives in the world". has lessened my sympathy somewhat. Entirely missing the point.

... and not all porn is harmless either. Does she, or the men who watch, know that it's an industry into which women are frequently trafficked? And that some men have admitted that their addiction to it has led to them being unable to hold down normal relationships with their wives and girlfriends?

He just should not have been watching it at work, it's as simple as that.

Maybe there are so many of them doing this that at that point he thought it was one of his colleagues who’d been caught…

Chocolatelovinggran Fri 29-Apr-22 21:01:59

Love it, Zonne!
Shame on him, and shame on his wife for any attempt to defend his behaviour.

Quite simply, MPs should not be watching anything on their phones!! Or sending messages, or playing games ( not even Wordle) or doing their Waitrose food order. Their phones should be switched off and they should be concentrating on what is happening. It is their job.

LauraNorderr Fri 29-Apr-22 22:24:29

An absolute disgrace. Porn has no place in the workplace. IMO porn has no place anywhere, it’s demeaning to all concerned.
I do agree that phones should be switched off in the house and MPs should be concentrating on the business at hand.

MissAdventure Fri 29-Apr-22 22:26:22

I think perhaps he was going to take some business in hand after watching.

LauraNorderr Fri 29-Apr-22 22:28:14

Unlikely but possible that someone else in the house sent him a video which he opened without knowing what it was. That would account for his earlier interview where he seemed to think that someone else was the guilty party.
If that’s the case the investigation will show it.
As I said highly unlikely but just possible.

LauraNorderr Fri 29-Apr-22 22:29:17

MissAdventure, I suspected you’d see that as I posted it.

MissAdventure Fri 29-Apr-22 22:29:34

Well, if they didn't use their phones during working hours then none of this would have happened.

MissAdventure Fri 29-Apr-22 22:34:26

I'll probably get told off for that, but it was too good an opportunity to miss. smile

HousePlantQueen Fri 29-Apr-22 22:39:16

He should not be watching or doing anything on his phone while he is being paid to represent the interests of his constituents, not wordle, not sudoku and certainly not porn. His pathetic protestations that he watched it 'by accident' are pathetic. In the unlikely event of accidentally downloading porn, any decent person would turn it off and profusely apologise to anyone adjacent. He watched it. As for his wife....blaming the women.....nice

Grammaretto Fri 29-Apr-22 22:44:03

He has admitted he was accidentally watching porn and he was now embarrassed and ashamed.
How do you accidentally watch porn?
