I am not really sure what you mean. Are you ashamed because someone in your country committed rape, its really difficult to compare rape statistics across countries because of different reporting methods but Britain is not in the top ten. Are you ashamed because they are in a position of power? Your job has no impact on whether you will commit rape. I would no more defend this government than fly to the moon but we do need to be careful about discussing rape/sexual assault. There are enough myths floating about as it is.

It’s an allegation going back over 15 years.
He could be entirely innocent for all we know.

You should be ashamed of yourself for immediately thinking he’s guilty.

It's currently being discussed on the end of this thread:

Yes I m very ashamed of my country for a number of reasons
The world must really look down on us and our dreadful behaviour
I can’t find a decent one amongst any of the present government members and how they are still in office and still voted for I ll never work out

The Tories now have an MP who has been arrested on suspicion of rape and sexual assault.

What depths of depravity does our current government have to sink to before they lose the support of every decent respectable person in this country?

It makes you ashamed to be British.
