Such a gorgeous picture brings a tear to the eye xx

Terrific! Sums up the weekend exactly, and it's very poignant.

Fab!

How lovely.

Aaaaww! The opening scene was the best bit of the "party". I can't remember much that the Queen has done (apart from the Olympics opening), despite all her years as monarch, but I'll always remember that.

A lovely picture.

Bitter sweet. Let’s hope the next big celebration will be her 100 birthday.

Super pic white wave ?

Oh how lovely!

Drawing by Eleanor Tomlinson. It popped up on my Facebook this morning, so I bought one. I love its poignancy.

Apparently she did a limited, signed run but it sold out in seconds, so she's issuing an open, unsigned run now.

Thank you WWM2. Beautiful picture.
Would love a real copy.

This talented young artist painted 7 pictures of birds for me that I have hanging on my kitchen walls. I didn’t realise she did this picture!

Thank you Whitewave
Absolutely lovely picture!

So it's NOT by Charlie Mackesy as stated further up thread?

This little picture has gone viral! I’ve ordered a copy - £15 unframed - but I think you might have to be quick!

Great organisation. How wise of the Queen only to do her waving from the balcony thing the first day. Why would she want or need to mix with the people either at the concert (the People's concert surely) or the Pageant the next day (ditto). Nice for the people but not for a Royal surely !

It’s lovely and has comfort.
What I don’t understand is when the Queen was on the balcony wearing her green outfit, she had a round black badge or bobble on the front of her green hat. Why?

Cnash Tue 07-Jun-22 13:04:28

It is by Eleanor Tomlinson, print available from Eleanor Tomlinson Art, £15.

Henrysnan Tue 07-Jun-22 13:05:45

Lovely Lady

It was for her mourning of Prince Phillip
