Welsh rail workers not in dispute with the government

..that being the Labour led Welsh government. Sadly the English action did however affect services. Just shows what a Labour government can achieve contrary to what some think!

NoSmileless I don’t think that’s the reason, they have struck a deal on pay for this year already. It’s frustrating because Network Rail is run for the UK as a whole, so even though our train staff are willing to work they can’t because there aren’t any maintenance staff et.

Well if they've struck a deal on pay that must have required co operation of all involved in the negotations.

Yes that’s true, when a government treats the unions with some respect they can reach a compromise which is acceptable to everybody. The UK government’s approach seems designed to attempt to set the rail workers against the rest of the UK, and refusing to negotiate is foolish in the extreme.
