Tories lose both by-elections.

Maybe not Calendargirl but it's given me a lift from the sheer misery when I thought that nobody in the cabinet would speak out. Sometimes I felt that I was imagining all the nonsense. I don't know what will happen in the future but I will enjoy today.

Johnson on BBC blaming cost of living for the losses. Nothing to do with him.

If the conservative party don't get rid of Johnson now, they will face the consequences at the next general election. I don't think that he will go easily though. I expect to see some bleating about tactical voting appear next.

BJ's said he will listen to the voters, I think the message is pretty clear FGS do the decent thing and resign!

Clearly the Conservatives face total annihilation at the GE unless they rid themselves of Johnson very quickly.

You only have to look at the reasons for the bye-elections to get a picture of the state of the Tories.

The previous MP, Imran Ahmad, resigned after being convicted of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy.

Former MP Neil Parish quit after he was found watching pornography in the House of Commons.

And good riddance!

Great news to wake up to. I’m Labour in a red wall seat we know is there to be won back so this is encouraging.

Congratulations to them both. The Liberals are on course to be a voice to be listened to and Labour has turned that big ship around another important bit.

Like Galaxy I want Johnson to go for the country to stop moving to the right, but for now he is useful to the opposition parties.

If those figures are right Casdon I’m not getting my hopes up for Lib Dems at the GE - they have a habit of winning battles and losing wars!

Johnson will go soon now, hanging on is not an option, Tory voters stayed home in droves but who to replace him. Not one of the present cabinet I’m sure, they are all tainted, someone from the junior ranks.

Yes, we have an Prime Minister who just lies his way from one crisis to the next. Runs away completely when he gets booed (his last flight to Ukraine - where he felt someone likes him), rather than go to Doncaster for his own party.

I have feared and detested him for many years - starting when he was Mayor of London. When people applauded when May stepped down, I was fear struck as I knew that Johnson would then take over.

However, the idea that just getting rid of him will in any way help the country at all is a false. His whole government is made up of lookalikes - and should he be forced to resign whoever took over as PM could be as bad or worse.

The slogan should not be 'Johnson 'must go', but 'Tory Government must go.'
