I recently started watching GB News and am finding it so interesting. Once you get past the different format to the usual news programmes it is very good. There are so many different views expressed from all political spectrums. I like that contributors are allowed to say their piece and it's then debated. Not just left or right wing views.

Very very scary…
Definitely a witch hunt..
I still can’t get over the vitriol, he was exposed to at the awards ceremony absolute bloody disgrace..

Here’s the fun sponge for anyone you might know.
You must read the blurb 😂

Fun sponge is such a nice name for the naysayers, I can think of a far more appropriate term..😜

MerylStreep great gag gift but the price!
Better to buy one from Poundland and put a printed blurb on it😂

Very frightening about bank accounts being cancelled. It reeks of big brother. What has happened to the money? Is it frozen, so effectively stolen?

Barclays have had to pay £20,000 compensation to a charity for closing their bank account. The reason being: the charity were offering therapy to LGBQT people.
Barclays had come under pressure from trans activists.

If NF had named the Bank concerned and it was one of mine I would close my account too.

I really don’t like Widdy, tho she can be funny at times.
Casdon if you enjoy facts there are them on GB News but it isn’t meant to be a dull facts and figures lecture. If you watch at various times of day you’re bound to find something you like.

Is that true? Sorry I am not doubting you primrose.
I stopped using PayPal because they refused to provide a service to the free speech union (who again I dont particularly like) I have never gone back to them even when they backpedalled due to public opinion.

Good for you, there’s way too much jumping on the cancel culture bandwagon by firms just now.

There’s lots more of these videos. But I won’t Labour the point.

What it boils down to MerylStreep is that some people like facts, and some people like fiction. I’m not offended at all, it’s funny.

MerylStreep you’re wasting your time, why am I thinking about sponges lurching into sight?😄

Oreo Thu 29-Jun-23 21:33:31

Since when did banks get fussy about which customers money to take?
Hardly their job to do this!

“Nigel Farage had his bank accounts cancelled & applications rejected by 7 other banks because he’s considered a PEP - Politically Exposed Person.

His family have also had their accounts closed because of association”

And that is a disgrace!! He has banked with the same bank since 1980 and two months ago they decided they were closing his accounts for “commercial reasons”. He has been unable to find out any more information and the same thing has now happened to members of his immediate family.

Another guy came on TV and said he had also been “de banked” as have several other people who have voiced their opinions but then be cancelled. Don’t you find that scary and wrong?

Someone got de-banked for filling in a Bank questionnaire and asking why his branch was festooned with Pride bunting when surely that has nothing to do with the purpose of the building which is banking.

Primrose, that is not just scary it’s terrifying…..🥺

Which news channels have an obvious left wing bias?

Cartainly none of the BBC channels, nor ITV.

No varian but the rest of the news channels show a very clear left wing bias. GB News is the only right wing channel. In the interests of balance it seems to be to be perfectly read that there should be a channel that’s more right wing.

maddyone Thu 29-Jun-23 19:01:02

If 80% (if that’s true) of the British public read the papers with a right wing bias, what does that tell us?

varian Thu 29-Jun-23 19:00:09

Where are the left wing news channels Maddyone?

Certainly not the Brexit Broadcasting Corporation.

maddyone Thu 29-Jun-23 18:59:22

The i is well known to have a left wing bias.

maddyone Thu 29-Jun-23 18:58:20

Absolute nothing wrong with having a right wing news channel. There are plenty of left wing channels so why not a right wing one? It’s called balance.

It’s interesting that the public voted for GB News in the wards ceremony, is it called TRIC? What does that tell us? I didn’t vote, I’d never heard of it before the results were published, but I do find it interesting.
