Who’s next?

Casdon Tue 05-Jul-22 19:09:13

I think Zahawi will be next, he’s not looked comfortable for a while.

Something flashed up on Facebook this morning that the cabinet were acting to oust Johnson within 24 hours but I didn’t believe it ( I can’t remember the source but I’ll see if I can find it).

I was told that at the weekend from a very informed person. Wish I could say!
There are definitely plans afoot.

Will continue until Boris realises he SHOULD resign himself ... falling apart everyday

One things for sure Therese Coffey wont go, she’s his number 1 fan, well perhaps number 2 after Nadine…

That's what Mr. S. said HousePlantQueen, they're stepping away to go for the leadership position but is it too little too late?

Yep, that’s what Mr M said too.

Nadine ran into Number 10!

Maybe she’s the new Chancellor shock

Not quite yet Grammaretto but make sure it’s well chilled!

Grammaretto Tue 05-Jul-22 18:52:27

Can I crack open the champagne?

HousePlantQueen
It's a pity they didn't have a fit of conscience before this, all this time they have been part of this corrupt and criminal regime.

Exactly!

I doubt anyone would be prepared to take a cabinet job at the moment, no matter how ambitious they are. It would be a poisoned chalice. Quick gain, long time loss.

grumppa Tue 05-Jul-22 18:48:15

Great news. But not, I think, a sinking ship: more of a sinking shit.

It’s all settled, Boris has said ‘sorry’

That’s it sorted then!

Has anyone ever resigned twice like Javid has done?

Parsley3 Tue 05-Jul-22 18:45:45

I heard him on TV saying sorry and blaming his apologists for speaking on his behalf. All that was missing was vaccine rollout, Ukraine, getting on with the things that matter whah, whah.
Surely he can't squirm out of this one.

HousePlantQueen Tue 05-Jul-22 18:44:12

That's the first two evaluating their future career prospects and deciding its best to get out now. It's a pity they didn't have a fit of conscience before this, all this time they have been part of this corrupt and criminal regime.

I couldn’t be more pleased ?

I know, both me and DH actually cheered when the resignations were announced on TV!

Just seen this on BBC news.

Joseanne Tue 05-Jul-22 18:39:27

Oooer. Is it to do with fiscal policy?

Hopefully Boris won't bring Matt Hancock back!

growstuff Tue 05-Jul-22 18:39:09

None of the rest would be appointed by any sane future leader.

Wallace next..?

Very possibly he'll be next and maybe Barclay and Gove. Truss, if she's serious about wanting to be next Conservative leader.
