This criminal’s salary would pay the wages of two new recruits

Callistemon21 Tue 19-Jul-22 09:25:16

I agree Callistemon, totally unnecessary and what a big salary for something we neither need or want

Iam64 and, of course, they have to have a department to support them too. Not to mention the expenses they incur travelling to meetings.

We met ours once when the residents here had a problem. a complete waste of time and the problem still continues years later.

I suspect a police officer convicted of 5 speeding offences is 12 weeks might get sacked. It’s not only careless, it sounds like putting the finger up to authority - the authority you oversee. She should be sacked if she won’t step down

They are superfluous to requirements, another layer of bureaucracy we have to pay for.

A complete waste of money, resources and time.

Totally agree Callistemon

Just read she has a 6 month ban.

maddyone Mon 18-Jul-22 22:46:38

I’m sure she doesn’t want to stand down from her £76,000 a year job. Who would?

timetogo2016 Mon 18-Jul-22 22:30:04

Jobs for the boys.
She could aways run the school run,i doubt she will get a speeding fine.
IMO she should be sacked.
And if not,why not?.

Oldbat1 Mon 18-Jul-22 15:10:03

Her MP husband has also been “done” for speeding. Why she still has a job and also a driving license is beyond me. What a disgrace.

We dont have them here ,what is their purpose?

Um, er ....
thinking ?

To politicise the police perhaps?

MayBee70 Mon 18-Jul-22 14:26:59

I’m just surprised that, as a crime commissioner, the police didn’t accidentally lose the evidence of her transgression. Her husband took over Anna Soubry’s* seat at the last election.
*one of the better Conservative MP’s imo but one who was outspoken in her condemnation of Johnson.

I just heard this on the radio... five times in 12 weeks.... why hasn't she been banned??

Millie22 Mon 18-Jul-22 14:18:18

They don't have one!

Driving too fast perhaps.

You just couldn't make it up could you.

winterwhite Mon 18-Jul-22 13:50:50

Quite agree Callistemon. Daft idea. Mainly tories, esp in the shire counties, spend their time demanding more money and criticising other services. And thinking that speed limits don’t apply to them. This isn’t the first.

It would cause her "exceptional hardship" getting her children to school by public transport.
The poor love. angry

Grannybags Mon 18-Jul-22 12:49:03

Nothing surprises me any more!!

People are always 'truly sorry' when they are caught

Ilovecheese Mon 18-Jul-22 12:48:19

Well , you would wouldn't you.

Conservative police and crime commissioner who promised a road safety crackdown has been banned from driving after she was caught speeding five times in 12 weeks.

Caroline Henry, the PCC for Nottinghamshire Police, admitted the offences and said she was "truly sorry".

She was fined £2,450 and banned for six months for exceeding 30mph limits in a blue Mercedes and a Lexus with a private number plate.

There have been calls for her to step down but she previously said she wanted to stay in her £76,000 job
