Heaven help us all. This country is a disgrace if the best we can offer is these two, particularly the robot Truss.

These are your actual Tory voters folks. I think it's worth remembering what the Tories actually want not what job hunting MPs they tell you they want.

Well I didn’t really like any of the candidates, but if these two are the best we can do, I give up!

I've just had a look at a forum that is comprises a small number of posters, most of whom voted Leave and quite a few of whom actually have a vote. They are the remains of the Tories. This was quoted about Liz Truss a few days ago.

Agree Riverwalk. It sounds fantastic to me because with LT as PM, Labour is absolutely certain to win the next GE! So, she won’t be PM for too long.

Have to agree Deeda Truss can barely string a sentence together at times. It is indeed a low benchmark.

Not very competent though - highest inflation in the G7 and highest taxes in 70 years.

Truss is a total robot, Im hoping she wins as shell be made mincemeat of by just about any interviewer. Did anyone see her on that select committee where she couldn't answer any of the questions about trading with authoritarian regimes.

The most I can say is that Rishi is more competent than Truss, but that really is all I can say. It's a very low benchmark.

I actually think Johnson has been incredibly damaging to the Tory party, I think it will take them a while to recover.

He has, and it will; but we have to somehow limp on until the GE, which could be 18 months away. It's a gloomy prospect with the world in the state it's in.
