A company in Penzance with total assets of £340,000 and expertise in making Free School bids has been given the contract for overseeing the country's £70 billion Net Zero programme. Does this seem odd to anyone else?

£70 billion! This smacks of the test and trace £37bn which has already be ruled illegal.

Can you give links to verify this WW2, please this is more than "just interesting".

Not quite as it seems but interesting none the less!

Links are interesting. Next is to find out if the owners are Tory supporters.

Your right, it’s not all as it appears from the OP. They will not be given a blank cheque of £70 billion.

There is nothing inaccurate in the OP.

JaneJudge Wed 03-Aug-22 09:23:19

have you seen how many director resignations there have been?

Yes all quite innocent. The company will probably only take a small 10% fee for their services.

Not been given the contract

Yes they have.

A Cabinet Office spokesperson has said that a Cornish company has not been awarded £70bn of Government money but will help deliver Net Zero green projects to schools and local authorities with an estimated turnover of £70bn.

They're project managing, basically.

I've been following this on twitter this morning.

Apparently there was a remarkably short period between the Invitation to Tender and the award of the contract.

The company involved has been working in the education field, setting up Free Schools and private schools. They have no expertise in procurement for energy efficiency, carbon reduction etc. etc. Which is what net zero is all about.

Someone pointed out that a company with 2 employees claims to have 'managed' 6,000 clients hmm]

They also have links with dodgy financing from a person revealed in the Panama Papers investigation.

It might be all well above board but it feels fishy.

If you delve into this twitter thread there is lots of information

Yes, that is what my instinct tells me. There is something not right.

The OP was simply a feeler to see what others knew, and it is interesting to read the posts.

Interesting too, in spite of everything this wretched government has done, playing fast and lose with our money, to the tune of trillions of pounds, there are still individuals who jump unquestionably to their defence.

Seems the directors have interesting connections.
