We have inflation and need growth ...

According one of the Talking Heads on BBC Today seemed to be saying that we cannot work for growth until we get inflation under control.

Is this true? What can those who have an interest in economics tell us?

Also, what does this means to each of the two leadership contestants and Labour?

If it is true, it bodes ill for those already on the bread-line as I suspect this statement is the forerunner of more austerity.
