No, I read it in the Andrew Norton book.

I had no idea about most of this.
No, I read it in the Andrew Norton book.
And by that time, her face was on the teatowels.
Did Diana say this in an interview or royal experts
I understood that Diana, although she knew about Camilla, thought that Charles' proposal meant that Camilla would fade away.
She was astounded to realise it meant nothing of the sort, and to realise that nobody had ever expected him to stop seeing Camilla, except her.
If it was true about Camilla why did both Spencer girls get involved with Charles ?
1. It wasn’t true
2. They hoped to be princess of Wales.

I do not understand why people refuse to accept evidence, intensively investigated by specialists, with testimony from those involved, and heard in court in front of a jury.
Three people were to blame for the deaths, and those were the three people who died. Diana had been playing 'chase me' with the press during the previous ten days; they were desperate for one last photo call. Dodi wanted to display her in Paris but because of the pursuit of the press he ignored his bodyguards' advice and kept changing his plans. Henri Paul was two to three times over the legal limit and drove dangerously fast in an underpass, possibly on the urging of Dodi. None of them chose to wear their seatbelts.
They could have stayed in the Ritz, Henri-Paul could have driven within the speed limit and Diana could have crouched down, with seatbelt, so that the following press could not see her.
Such a wanton waste of life.
So if he was as has been claimed an alcoholic taking anti depressants how did he manage to renew his pilot's licence on 28th August?
Totally agree with you easybee , and Annie. Diana was lovely in many ways, but she could be a foolish young woman unnecessarily courting disaster. I can't believe that Henry Paul somehow tipped off MI5 or whoever in order to kill Diana thus risking his own injuries/ demise?! Surely that's way over the call of duty? Diana did know about Camilla before she got married. P.C had dated her sister Sarah in 1977, and as they all moved in the same social circles, Charles and Camillas affair and its lack of approval was well known. Diana even thought about pulling out of the wedding, but, as her sister said, their faces were on the tea towels so it was too late to back out.

Princess Diana was not pregnant.
She was not engaged to Dodi.
She had had numerous boyfriends and he was just the next in line. She would never have married him.
Henri Paul was not drunk.
At the beginning of her marriage she was in love with Charles. She did not know about Camilla then.
Such a sad story as far as love was concerned.
However she did a lot of good in her life and people remember that.

There are some theories that Henri Paul was the person who let "them" know that it would be a good time for an accident to happen.
Yes, maybe, maybe not.
He had recently split from his girlfriend (who was blonde like Diana) and he was apparently in the doldrums.

Jaberwok they spent that holiday playing for the camera lens,
jumping from a high board, snuggled up in a boat , she never
put herself on display like that before even though she loved being photographed.
I think assassination is a more appropriate word than murder. Collateral damage happens. The security services are well used to playing the long game and awaiting an opportunity.
Annie, that is a valid point and could well be the reason they weren't wearing seat belts, as you say, you can't turn round properly in seat belts particularly rear ones, to see who is following you. That would explain the inexplicable. To murder Diana you had to murder or badly injure three other people, who on earth would have ordered that? How could a would be murder squad have known where, how, or even if they would be travelling that night when they could have easily decided to stay where they were. Henri Paul was supposedly off duty that evening which would suggest that they had originally planned to stay put, but perhaps thought a game of 'catch me if you can' with the paps would be a good lark. Allegedly H.P was ordered by Dodi to drive, and no one who wanted to keep their job defied Dodi, allegedly. Who knows but murder seems extremely unlikely. An accident waiting to happen is more plausible.
Do they mean the brake pads which shouldn't be greased?
Well, that would take some doing, secretly, on a dark night when no-one knew she'd be travelling in that particular car on that particular night.
Brakes do need greasing.
As the Queen trained as a vehicle mechanic during WW2 I don't think she would have said that.

16 May 2022 — Queen Elizabeth II thought "someone must have greased the brakes" upon hearing of Princess Diana's death in a Paris car crash, ...
google it. many sources .. The queen said it.
Diana had told the queen of her fear!
If they had decided to stay in the Ritz that night instead of
choosing to leave knowing the paps were waiting ?
Sadly they chose to play ‘catch me if you can’ with the paps.
It’s easier to look through the back window of a car without seat
belts.
Recollections may vary. ‘Proofs’ may vary. Opinions may vary.
She’s dead.
I think it’s wonderful that her sons are unlikely to read GN, though they can’t be unaware of all the ‘facts’ that are peddled around as the truth by the media.

Was the bodyguard sitting in the front seat ?
Yes, I believe so.

I can't get my head round it all, but yesterday I had a little chat about the French involvement with a friend here over lunch.
Maybe France felt kind of responsibile and embarrassed about the accident happening on French soil. Maybe they didn't want all the grief of investigations etc so the simplest thing too do was to conclude that the driver was stone drunk. Just sacrifice one random person for the good of the British monarchy and the entente cordiale that exists?
I will say my discussion was with a Breton lady, Henri Paul coming from the region. There is no love lost between the Bretons and the Parisians at the best of times.
Just another slant.
The documentary on channel 4 shows that the French did an extensive investigation after the accident.

Proven facts:
Henri-Paul was three times over the legal limit for driving plus taking anti-depressants;
receipts from the Ritz prove he had been drinking in the bar that evening while waiting for instructions from Dodi;
the car was driven at 60mph, twice the speed limit when it crashed into a bollard in an underpass;
none of the deceased wore seatbelts.
Findings from the jury at the hearing.
My ex father-in-law disliked me intensely, but that does not mean he wanted me dead.
A Blood test showed levels of alcohol and anti-depressants, but an independent blood test requested by Henri-Paul's parents was refused.
He had just renewed his pilots licence which requires blood and urine tests.
The staff thought he was drinking grapefruit juice until someone told them it was Pastis. If you stand next to someone drinking Pastis you know it by the smell.
Why was Diana not substantially injured? The body guard with a seat belt had head and facial injuries. She without one was unmarked.
Just a few questions about your facts.

Dodi Fayed a Muslim who was known to have a liking

As regards HMQ and Charles not wanting to harm Diana because she was W&H's mother, there are always fathers and in-laws who think children will be better off away from, or without, their mother.
