It might seem strange to you Rosie but I don't write entire people off because we disagree on one facet of a thing or even more than one at, I only write off people who treat others poorly.

A toilet is not a safe space.

I won't lie to women about that

Rosie51 Sun 02-Oct-22 21:30:27

Galaxy I saw Buck's post earlier. Glad you agree with Buck Angel VS Buck doesn't agree with transwomen using female toilets etc Buck describes themselves as "female transsexual living as a man"
This is a pinned tweet on Buck's account If you are a woman who grew up masculine/tomboy and now live a beautiful life as a woman, would love to hear your story. Because today you would have been fast-tracked as a "trans kid".
Still yelling Yay! Perfect VioletSky ?

VioletSky Sun 02-Oct-22 21:17:23

Galaxy

Buck Angel (transman) is tweeting about the importance of intersectional trans activism. Buck stresses that this involves respecting female only spaces, respecting child safeguarding, respecting homosexuality and respecting different beliefs. Sounds good.

Yay! Perfect

s/he is 60 years old either way, so should know better than to play with women's hard won rights and those of a minority group who need a genuine representation which doesn't encroach on other people's rights

flipping heck, it's not rocket science

Glorianny

^The funny thing, Izzard says, is that she had first announced she was transgender in 2017 in the Hollywood Reporter, and nobody had taken a blind bit of notice.^
But she has never said she was transsexual?????

Perhaps nobody cared.

So - is (s)he Edie now?

I always spell fuchsia wrong

Named after Leonard Fuchs
So Fuchs with ia at the end.
Mine are still flowering well.

I’m sitting here wondering how VS and Gt would cope if RH and JS had claimed to be TIM or decided to go out in dresses.
After such adamant support of all things trans and saddos like EI, would they suddenly get picky over which ones they could support and try to insist that others accept.
But along side that, in all seriousness, neither TIM or old has-beens like IE, desperate for publicity, should use female spaces for their own gratification.

FannyCornforth Sun 02-Oct-22 18:11:49

Yup. Muppet. As I vowed earlier today, I should have hidden no this thread.
These men are a bloody menace

Doodledog Sun 02-Oct-22 18:06:42

Oops, my mistake grin. I thought he was always going on about women's clothes not being for women - something about they are not women's clothes they are my clothes as I paid for them. And what happened to the 'boy days and girl days' thing? That blows the whole 'born in the wrong body' idea right out of the water, doesn't it?

Oh well. A 'trannie' has even less right to be in a female loo than a transwoman, surely?

LadyGracie Sun 02-Oct-22 18:01:23

He.

Glorianny Sun 02-Oct-22 17:52:02

FannyCornforth Sun 02-Oct-22 17:49:21

No, sorry Doodledog, that’s not right. He used to call himself ‘a trannie’
And more recently he’s been banging on that he is ‘a male lesbian’
He doesn’t have a clue what he’s on about, the poor love.
This has been going on for years

Doodledog Sun 02-Oct-22 17:40:27

Whatever his reasons, Izzard has always insisted that he is neither transvestite nor transexual - he just has 'girl days' and 'boy days', so why the need to us the Ladies?

LadyGracie Sun 02-Oct-22 17:37:39

Your fuchsia netted fascinator is safe!

FannyCornforth Sun 02-Oct-22 17:28:08

I always spell fuchsia wrong

FannyCornforth Sun 02-Oct-22 17:27:16

And if Izzard doesn’t dress in his ‘lady clothes’ for ‘sexual reasons’ I’ll eat my fuschia netted fascinator

Doodledog Sun 02-Oct-22 16:59:02

Why can't transwomen use male toilets?

Some men dress as women for sexual reasons, which is fine - but there is a time and place for that, and it's not in the public arena.

Others feel as though they should have been women, which is a shame, but life doesn't always give us what we want, and it is unreasonable to expect the rest of society to collude in their fantasies when doing so poses a threat to women - even if that threat is not from the transwomen themselves. If transwomen want to dress and act in a way that they see as 'female', that's fair enough, but it won't alter their biological reality, which is that they are male, and because of that reality they should, IMO, use the Gents. With the other men. When they leave they can go back to the behaviour they perceive as 'female' and expect others to go along with it, as it harms nobody and puts nobody at risk.

Having men in the Ladies is a risk, even though not all men are a threat. It is the inability of anyone to know which men pose a threat and which don't (whatever they are wearing) which is the issue, and if one man is able to use the Ladies with impunity, there is no way to stop the others.

What is so complicated about that? And why shouldn't biological males use the male facilities?

Stormystar Sun 02-Oct-22 16:51:38

Violetsky the idea of “knowing who you are inside” where do you imagine it resides, In the brain the mind the psyche the spirit in cells organs blood. Do you imagine it’s constant or fluid and evolving, is it created, constructed, And why should this idea of knowing who you are inside command that others bow down to Any individuals Egoic Imagio.

^How have we even got here?^

Because they are being enabled.
Just like the Emperor was until a little boy pointed out the truth.

And sadly, that enablement is supported not just by TIM but by those like VS, who dress up their lack of care for females by only referring to ‘women’, the use of which has been increasingly corrupted since 2004.

Rosie51 Sun 02-Oct-22 16:20:56

JaneJudge

How have we lost the insight to appreciate the only reason he insisted on going to the women's toilets in the first place was to make a point. The point that he could, because that day he identified as female (apparently) as he'd put some lipstick on and was wearing his lady clothes.

It's male privilege in plain sight. It sends a message that if men say they are female, they can do as they like and women must accommodate them. A bit like men who wear a dress and then insist lesbians sleep with them. Never mind women have consent about their own bodies anymore, it's transphobic.

How have we even got here? It's just not on

Oh Jane, did you miss Glorianny's explanation? The likelihood is he needed a nice big mirror to check his hair and makeup. I'm sure otherwise he would have respected women and used the mens....... or maybe not!

No it's not on, and eventually there has to be a backlash, and regrettably those transpeople that have respected women and their need for single sex areas will get caught by it. As Callistemon says, they're being enabled, but sunlight is coming. Safeguarding must return. Children being encouraged to mutilate their bodies, put on medication for life, being "converted" from being homosexual, it fills me with despair. We have to stop it.

When a man says he's a woman he's believed. When a woman says he's a man, she's not. It shows that the believers know exactly who the man is. Not my quote incidentally, I saw it somewhere and it stuck in my head.

grin
I haven't read the last 2 pages yet but it's good to know you're getting plenty of exercise, with all the flouncing etc VS.

(This isn't actually the 'VioletSky Show' tho, you know. So you don't really have to make a speech about leaving for a few minutes.)

Just to let you know, I'm going off to do some crocheting to soothe my nerves

FarNorth Sun 02-Oct-22 15:53:19

If Jean Hatchet hadn't publicised the photo, of Izzard coming out of the toilet into the hall full of people, he would have made much less impression with his lady-pee & territory marking.
He must be so pleased.

JaneJudge and Callistemon21 I agree with both of your posts.
