Well, I emailed my MP this morning giving my opinion that Truss and Kwarteng had to go. By lunchtime Kwarteng had been sacked! Who knew I was so influential???

All these Chancellors. My washing up liquid has lasted longer than the last 3 have.

He had to leave Chequers when Truss took office. He was totally discredited in terms of integrity/trust except for the loyal few and he certainly had NO ideas how to cope with current situation. He nor only dragged replacing himself then swanned away on holiday and this certainly made things a lot worse

I agree Lucca that historically they were Remainers but Boris did his ‘pros & cons’ list and decided to throw his hat on the Brexit bus. Truss probably just flip flopped as seems to be her character but came down hard (for a while) negotiating hard with the EU about checks on NI.

Hunt however is and has always been a staunch Remainer. He’s probably got his pal Eeyore Hammond ‘spreadsheet Phil’ on speed dial to run things fiscal and French (EU) past him.

Many MP’s will be delighted tonight. It’s ‘business as usual’.

This all goes back to Brexit and Boris filling his cabinet with incompetents like Truss and Kwarteng.
As we’ve seen, getting Brexit done has barely started, caused untold damage to the country and left us with a cabinet that can barely function.

How she has the gall to stand there spouting the importance of "economic stability" after the disastrous economic crash she and her wingman brought about is astounding.
She has u turned on every policy to the point of having no policy left, she needs to go today.

Well, Labour's getting my vote at the GE. I am a comfortably off voter who has had enough of a Party that took us into Brexit
