If you had to choose the Prime Minister from among the Gransnet posters, who would you choose?

Would you choose that poster based on personality or on political persuasion?

Sadly not Callistemon it took 4 tests before I got a positive and its been horrible.Still having the dizzy spells ,sore throat and banging headache.I cant remember feeling this bad before .My GS is 2 weeks in and still feeling awful too.
Thats what I get for thinking we had cleverly avoided it ,its gets yo when yo least expect it !

It's horrible, paddyann, I sympathise. DH and I got it just as we were due our vaccines four weeks ago. I was worse than him, it was two weeks before we tested negative and I only managed to go out again yesterday, just for food shopping.
I couldn't get out of bed for 3 days, only wanted water.
No sore throat, some sneezing, terrible aching, dizziness, tired and exhausted. No, I can't remember feeling that ill before either.
Now feel lethargic and have a blocked sore ear.

We thought we'd avoided it too!

I do hope you feel better soon, take it easy.

janejudge always pragmatic and diplomatic, has a nuanced of understanding of how social care is failing in this country, and would I’m sure take steps to improve the lot of women, children’s and the vulnerable in the U.K.

She also can be very funny, which is needed at the PMQ’s

Callistemon21 Sun 30-Oct-22 17:15:26

Are you feeling better, paddyann?

Well, anyone sensible wouldn't want the job as Casdon and Grammaretto say.
So I think we're stuck with the status quo.

paddyann54 Sun 30-Oct-22 15:08:56

MaizieDOR WWM2 though they'll still be banging their heads against a wall.
Lots of folk dont want to know how things work ,they listened to Thatchers home economics and believed every word .

Dickens Sun 30-Oct-22 14:56:44

MaizieD

I think that Dickens ought to be in the race, too... grin

... oy! you leave me out of this MaizieD... I'm voting you for Chancellor BTW grin

Grammaretto Sun 30-Oct-22 14:29:46

Elegran but she's far too sensible to want to be

Casdon Sun 30-Oct-22 14:21:49

If we’re talking about a Prime Minister for Gransnet to keep us focussed and kind, then Monica.
If we’re talking about a Prime Minister for the country, knowledgeable, fair minded and has the belief that people can work together to make things better, then Whitewavemark2.
I suspect neither of them would accept the jobs though, they are far too sensible.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 30-Oct-22 14:19:33

M0nica PM
MaizieD Chancellor
growstuff Education
varian Environment
Whitewavemark2 Home Office

I will have to think of the rest.

(Thank you for your good wishes, the GC have passed on a particularly nasty tummy bug, haven’t been able to keep any food/drink in since Wednesday evening)

Joseanne Sun 30-Oct-22 14:16:37

That's good, the name I was thinking of has cropped up. As I have little knowledge of politics, I thought it might be a case of the blind leading the blind, but for me Dickens always writes in a manner that demonstrates someone who could competently lead rather than drive apart.

MaizieD Sun 30-Oct-22 13:56:47

I think that Dickens ought to be in the race, too... grin

Prentice Sun 30-Oct-22 13:51:23

Monica for PM, you are a popular choice smile and then
GrannyGravy13 for the Chancellor, good business sense and diplomacy.
Get well soon flowers

Poppyred Sun 30-Oct-22 13:46:18

Sarah74

Good grief. Good job we’re all different, isn’t it?

My thoughts exactly!

Monica gets my vote - plain common sense always.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 30-Oct-22 13:43:46

Before I vote I need to see their manifesto😄😄.

Dickens Sun 30-Oct-22 13:38:54

Hipsy

Another vote for MOnica. With FarNorth as minister for women.

... and another vote for MOnica from me.

Callistemon21 Sun 30-Oct-22 13:22:44

GrannyGravy hope you feel better soon.
You'll need all your strength for your new role as Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
😁

MrsKen33 Sun 30-Oct-22 13:20:55

Biglouis……she’ll get things done 💐

Callistemon21 Sun 30-Oct-22 13:20:36

Monica or Elegran
Both calm, sensible and reasonable without bias although I believe that M0nica votes the way I do.

Casdon - or she could be Secretary of State for Wales if not.

Hipsy Sun 30-Oct-22 13:01:09

Another vote for MOnica. With FarNorth as minister for women.

Aveline Sun 30-Oct-22 12:52:22

M0nica or Doodledog for me. No wait - it's got to be Elegran for sheer common sense and experience.

Sarah74 Sun 30-Oct-22 12:49:35

Good grief. Good job we’re all different, isn’t it?

Mollygo Sun 30-Oct-22 12:47:35

I’d vote for M0nica, or Doodledog, or Callistemon21 or Baggs. All seem to know what they’re talking about and put it over well.

MerylStreep Sun 30-Oct-22 12:33:18

MOnica &Baggs
Both free/ logical thinkers without bias.

Blossoming Sun 30-Oct-22 12:27:13

Marydoll for Prime Minister. Now for the cabinet.
