I do at least see the logic of damaging a petrol station rather than a museum though!

It's also obviously criminal damage and all on camera.

I think it's a step forward tbh. I can't understand the links when they are pouring milk, sloshing paint or throwing mashed potatoes.

It was reported last week as coming from a video made by Roger Hallam; I read the report and found it chilling.

I think the notion of “just stop oil” is simplistic and seriously ill informed.

Their methods are counterproductive but their message is neither simplistic nor ill informed. Why do you think it is?

Can the petrol station sue for restraint of trade? Every protest of this kind hurts individuals as well as businesses. I think the notion of “just stop oil” is simplistic and seriously ill informed.

It’s not a protest it’s criminal damage

The problem with 'Stop Oil' is that after years of Austerity, then Brexit followed by the pandemic, lockdowns, etc, and now the impending global recession and the huge increases in the cost of living - people are just not going to be receptive to this kind of protest, however noble the cause.

I’d like to see them all arrested and be told there is no court date available for ages and they have to be locked up whilst they wait. I’d hope that might put some off. I read that the ringleader is presently in prison for a month, with our system he won’t serve the whole month of course !

Why these vandals are tolerated is beyond me.
