Just been released.

Lots of black and white footage.

Kisses, laughter, tears.

We don’t have Netflix, so shan’t be watching it.

Ah, ok.

Here was me thinking I'd missed Mel Gibson going back in time to save Mirren. That would have been quite a twist in the plot. 😉

Literal is not the word I would use.

Trailers, at least here in the US, are meant to give people a glimpse of the program. It is literally meant to cause people to say, wow I guess I need to watch this so I can see what these images are about.

MissAdventure

My ex was in a crowd scene on Braveheart, rumour has it.
(Although he started the rumour, so...)

At a wedding, wearing a goat's head, apparently.

A speaking part or did he just have to bleat?

MissAdventure Mon 05-Dec-22 22:25:48

grin
Bleat, I'd imagine.
He was quite good at that.

Wait, hear me out.

A latin speaking Scottish time traveling lab that goes back to save his first love.

We could pitch it to Netflix.

Callistemon21 Mon 05-Dec-22 22:31:25

I must say she doesn't look her age.
She's very well-preserved.

MissAdventure Mon 05-Dec-22 22:37:43

Who?
volver?

Callistemon21 Mon 05-Dec-22 22:39:29

No, Helen Mirren of course.

Haven't you seen her with Susan Calman, going round the lovely areas of Britain?

Keep up at the back

volver Mon 05-Dec-22 22:42:41

😂

MissAdventure Mon 05-Dec-22 22:43:51

No, I haven't.
The novelty soon wears off for me with floating celebrities.
I blame Jane Macdonald for unexpectedly bursting into song in a cave once.

Lexisgranny Mon 05-Dec-22 22:44:05

Just seen the trailer, no sign of Queen Mary! Why was her photo shown before, and where are those children and their flags? Surely the press are not being duplicitous?

Callistemon21 Mon 05-Dec-22 22:45:07

I like Susan, she's fun. Although she was a bit disappointing when she visited round here.

There I was, on the riverbank, waving and she didn't notice me.

Callistemon21 Mon 05-Dec-22 22:46:18

Surely the press are not being duplicitous?

No, they always stick to the truth, the whole truth and nothing but ......

My initial thoughts were that once all the grievances had been aired in the Oprah interview, things would settle down and eventually fade away. However, it all seems to be picking up momentum and looks set to run and run for years. The concern is that it will spill into William's reign, as Harry will have an abundance of material about his elder brother to tell. This will have lasting effects for decades. In that respect I feel particularly sorry for Catherine, and also the three children, who will grow up through it all. They don't deserve this.

Alioop Tue 06-Dec-22 08:38:29

Suits will be wanting her back now she's become a much better actress.

Joseanne Tue 06-Dec-22 08:39:39

PS Actually I should have said the five children to include Harry's two. It can't be healthy to have a vengeful father either. Very sad all round.

Calendargirl Tue 06-Dec-22 08:58:48

I don’t think it will run for years and years Joseanne.

After the Netflix stuff plus Harry’s ‘memoirs’, what will there be left to say?

If the RF don’t respond to it all, which I trust they won’t, it will be a 9 days wonder and die a death. There’s only so much H&M can keep regurgitating surely.

The RF have risen above other scandals and crisis, and they will hopefully just keep carrying on, carrying on.

Sparklefizz Tue 06-Dec-22 09:03:30

Harry seems to be a very bitter, jealous and angry man, and that must surely spill over at home.

volver Tue 06-Dec-22 09:09:57

Oh, domestic violence now?

That's new.

Joseanne Tue 06-Dec-22 09:18:36

The RF have risen above other scandals and crisis, and they will hopefully just keep carrying on, carrying on.
Yes, that has certainly served them well in the past and would be my preferred option.
However, times are different now and it seems to run very deep with Harry who can appear irascible. In fact, I believe both brothers can be easily angered. Maybe a big bust up would solve it? NOT.

There's only so much that can be regurgitated on GN or over a coffee but we all appear to bring things up and return to them ad infinitum! grin

volver Tue 06-Dec-22 09:19:51

Ootside

The two of them

Square go.

Joseanne Tue 06-Dec-22 09:22:39

Do you mean physical violence in that volver?
I am not acquainted with violence of any sort in my family so genuinely don't know the inference.

volver Tue 06-Dec-22 09:23:27

Its a Scottish thing.

🤣

Joseanne Tue 06-Dec-22 09:23:58

Oh OK. Bring back the days of those swords they have hanging up in their palaces!

volver Tue 06-Dec-22 09:27:27

Ah, swords would be unfair.

Although maybe Royalty get a concession.

Excellent definition from the Urban Dictionary:

Square Go: A Scottish call to fight after alternative means have been exhausted. Basically meaning me and you, let's square up and punch the s*** out of each other.
