I remember when there used to be “public information” adverts warning about the risks of crossing the road, jumping into deep water, playing on frozen lakes etc.
So do I, but until there’s an accident like this, you’d hear cries of “Nanny State.”
I spent part of yesterday with Y1&Y2 making posters showing how ice is dangerous if you fall on it or especially through it
They seemed clued up about the dangers, with some good slogans like e.g. Your slide might break my leg, or Slipping isn’t funny, but then spent playtime trying to make slides on the icy field since the playgrounds had been coned off.
