Astonishing that he has announced this.
He has now put his wife, children and himself at serious risk not to mention all the other implications.
He is a silly immature and dangerous man.
Thanks Iam and Calli. Good to be back with you.
And he’s related to our head of state?
Hod help us all
So he's now revealed to Al-Qaeda and the Taliban that he killed 25 of their comrades. It's common knowledge where he lives, he blabs about every movement he makes and because he stropped off from having the protection of the royal family, he and his family are sitting targets. He's a whole new level of stupid.
He just doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut does he. It must be carnage inside his head.

Thanks Chestnut. I share your astonishment. I didn’t think he was the sharpest knife in the drawer but to expose your entire family, including the King, in this way beggars belief.
I missed your post Germanshepherdsmum
Hello and good to see you contributing again.

Welcome back germanshepherd’s mum. We often take a different view but it’s always interesting to talk on various topics
I respect our military and acknowledge GrannyGravy’s family contribution to the armed services.
I’m tired of reading vicious, unkind, insensitive posts about Harry. He’s clearly been struggling for a long time. I feel sympathy for all the family, including Harry and Meghan. What a sad breakdown in relationships.
I totally agree that he has been struggling for many years.
I am in no way anti Harry, but I feel his comments regarding his kills in Afghanistan are so ill thought out and dangerous not only to his family but other military personnel who have not got the benefit of twenty four seven security.

Thanks Dickens.

I'm afraid Harry has always come across as a bit dim. I seem to remember a scandal about his A levels when he was at Eton.
He needed to pass two A levels to get into Sandhurst but there was evidence that his art teacher had helped him rather more than she should have done to get him a pass in A level art.

I haven't seen anything justifying terrorists. Yes, we should be encouraging veterans not to bottle up their trauma and seek help whenever possible, but that's a whole different scenario from speaking out like that and making yourself (and your family) a target.
Me neither, Blondiescot
And yes, veterans should speak of their trauma to those specialised in helping them process it. There is help available.
Glorianny I don't know how much work you do with veterans or supporting the charities designed to help them; perhaps you do, I don't know. But if it is only hearsay, please don't use that as an excuse to attack other posters.
Speaking of experiences to trained counsellors is one thing but using this as part of a continued attack on your family is foolish in the extreme.
I feel sorry for him because he does not seem to realise the impact his words will have on him and his own nuclear family.

The Taliban have a name now who has admitted what they have done. Where will he and his family be safe?
Funny isn't it one young woman denied the Taliban power and went to school. She was shot. She became a hero.
Perhaps she should have kept quiet and stayed home.
I can't believe there are people justifying the actions of terrorists. How low can you go???Um, you seem to have taken a post, turned it round, inside out and made it mean something quite different, Glorianny.
And what you accuse posters of is appalling.I absolutely agree it is appalling. Someone speaks out and all people can say is "Oo now the Taliban will try to kill them"
Lots of schadenfreude on this thread.
I apologise for being rude to you Glorianny but you have no idea what you are talking about.
It is not even about just the Taliban, Glorianny. Have you ever had DV clearance? I’m just flabbergasted he is able to do this without legal consequence
security protocols are in place to protect people and our society as a whole
I’m not sure how it’s unkind
I think he’s been foolish at best to publish this information

^OMG some of the posts on this thread are unbelievable. Isn't it time we got past the "Real men/soldiers don't talk about it" idea^
You know a lot of veterans, I take it, Glorianny.
🤔
I know that there are veterans who are homeless and suffering Callistemon21, some of them because of their service experiences.
I know that mental health problems are sometimes the result of not talking about your experiences, partly because of a culture which says real men keep quiet. Which I suppose is what you are saying. If I knew real men who keep quiet I wouldn't think the way I do, well I bloody well would.
"I would like to get my father back, I would like to have my brother back," well I don't think they want you back Harry, you UTTER LOON
what you said *Smileless, that they hadn't brought shame on the RF, only on themselves is so true. No one in their right mind would trust these two goons.

Give over Glorianny nobody has justified terrorists on this thread.
What they have done is pointed out the bloody obvious, the target on his back and by proxy his wife and children has just got bigger. Every jihadist on the planet will now be after the big prize
So is it OK for Harry & Meghan's ex staff to now speak out about their experiences?
Thank goodness our dear Queen never had to endure such lunacy from her DGS. God rest her soul.
So much ridiculousness. He's a sick man and not making good decisions.
Glorianny
OMG some of the posts on this thread are unbelievable. Isn't it time we got past the "Real men/soldiers don't talk about it" idea. Some people talk, some don't. Harry has a platform and has chosen to talk about his experiences and tell people. No one has the right to deny him that. There are hundreds of ex-service personnel who haven't been able to do that and who have severe problems because of what was done in the service of their country, many are alcoholics, many are homeless, many have no one to listen anyway. If reading this book makes even one person think about what is expected of young men and the damage they suffer, then Harry did well.
You are forgetting that at his rank and his job he would have signed the official secrets act.
Great to see you have resurfaced GSM.
I thought you had fallen overboard in the Med somewhere! 😉
