I am not talking about transpeople really - yet again, I am saying that
(i) there are criminals (eg Isla Bryson) who make use of self-id to get access to women.

(ii) People don't want self-id to go through in order to stop them from being able to do that.

(iii) Stopping self-id will impact on transpeople, as they also want to use self-id.

(iv) So ipso facto, it is criminals (eg Isla Bryson) who are responsible for many people not wanting self-id to be allowed.

There are other reasons too (eg religious strictures and wanting to avoid the male gaze) but this thread is about the prison situation, and I am trying to explain the bit about how it is that criminals impact on transpeople.
