The absolute arrogance of these wild life slaughterers

Deer need to be culled occasionally but not by hunters. When I lived in Suffolk there were a couple of wild herds that did a lot of damage on some of the farms. every now and then a farmer would get in a marksman to take out a few of the animals.

Many years ago whilst on holiday in Devon we were driving across the moors and saw a stag being hunted. Absolutely no cover for it. It was an appalling sight to see the hunters and dogs chasing after that beautiful animal.

lampers kill everything, it is totally indiscriminate- they follow the light beam that attracts all wildlife, and break their neck as they 'run the beam'.

Not just fox hunting sad to say. We used to have beautiful hares until the hare coursers came late at night with their dogs and killed them. Now we have none and it’s happening in lots of places.

Charles used to hunt regularly near me with one of the most famous Hunts. But there were a few unpleasant 'incidents' which were highly publicised, and he stopped. 70s and 80s.

WE have Quorn, Belvoir and Fernie, as well as a few Northants ones.

Sadly still carries on. Even when caught the toffs still get away with it. The local hunt will try and stop the traffic when they are riding off to hunt but I just ignore them and keep driving by. Tenant farmers here allow the hunt across their pregnant sheep fields which can’t be ideal but I guess they don’t have a choice. Hate them all.

They certainly don’t ride any more I would have thought, but I suspect that they are certainly not anti-hunting. I mean they kill countless thousands of birds and deer for sport. They can’t possibly consume everything they kill.

Foxes have a massive job to do in the countryside. They are the only predator to rabbits, and all sorts of rodents, eating thousands of them- great helpers.

Unfortunately it’s supported by the Royal Family and many lords.

There have been quite a few reports over the past few weeks on our regional news of hunts which have allegedly gone wrong, ie a fox has popped up and the hounds have chased it, in some cases into people's gardens. I just don't know why there aren't prosecutions, there must be a list of riders before every ride. There was one very distressing piece of footage which showed the fox running up and down by the patio doors of a house, desperately looking for escape. The hunt master simply unlocked the side gates and let the dogs in to do their work, all over the (fortunately) absent family's garden. The grandmother of the family was interviewed and was furious that her small grandchildren could easily have witnessed this. Outrageous.

Hunting for sport is never acceptable it must fill an empty void in the lives of the people who do it. Farmers and small holders don’t welcome foxes and a lot of people in general don’t. They are wild animals trying to exist and kill in order to do that.
People who hunt animals to exhaustion for sport have empty lives. They lack a sense of their own place on this earth and think they are far superior to other living things. They carry on doing this without fear of deterrent. I wonder how they would feel if they had a taste of their own medicine.

It's trophy hunters too. These horrible so called humans killing beautiful creatures and posing smiling with their kill. There is nothing brave or clever about them. They are the lowest of the low.

As said above, some of the most cruel actitivites linked to the Hunts, are perpetrated by the terrier men. Badger baiting, digging foxes and badgers to release straight into the hounds, and worse. The wo/men in RedCoats are generally from a very different background, although the membership has changed somewhat in recent years- they know about those despicable practices, and close a blind eye against services to the Hunt.

If you want the Police to listen, you have to insist on speaking to the local Wildlife police team, or go to a local group, be it your local Hunt Saboteurs, or if you'd rather not, people like your local Badger Group, who will know exactly who to contact.

My local area has so many famous Hunts- and groups which are very aware of their activities, and associated terrier men and links.

Some humans or subhumans, I should say, think they have the right to kill animals. Not just foxes but all sorts of wildlife.
Animals have as much right to life as we do.

But with the exception of Tickingbirds assumption that all people who hunt, or follow the hunt are members of the wealthy, landowning middle classes. That is absolutely not the case and is an urban myth which suits the anti field/ country sport lobby.

Absolutely, hunting and shooting attracts a huge range of people.
We mustn’t forget the hare coursing and badger baiting…..not exactly an elitist pastime.

The only thing that can be done is to prosecute them when caught. There was a local hunt where I used to live and a lot of foxes. One day when they were right up against my boundary I asked the master what they were doing. ‘Hunting rabbits madam.’ What tosh. I immediately called the police in 101. Were they interested? Not at all.

They have found every way of 'hiding' this disgusting activity one way and another (like using a bird of prey). But recently they seem to no longer even bother to try and hide. The even more disgusting 'work' of the terrier men, which the guys (and gals) in red coats have always condoned and closed a blind eye to, has always continued.

They’re scum (I make no apology for using that word) but unfortunately they’re normally very well connected and wealthy, often landowners with total disregard for animals. It’s their ‘sport’. They should be demonised and treated with contempt by society.
