Good they have been thinking about science and perhaps more co-operation with the EU can take place now the Tories have got beyond blaming the EU for everything but science is not the only contribution to the way ahead. Education in the widest sense, a first rate cadre of politicians and civil servants, attention to the needs of all strata in society, a recognition that immigrants can enhance the UK and a willingness to recognise the value of co-operation with foreigners - these are some of the essentials. That said, science is important but it does not attract the numbers of potential students it used to do in the post-WW2 period until about 1970.
How ironic - some HMRC staff essentially committing fraud.
