Well, I read lots of gloating about being right on GN, plenty of posters telling those of us disappointed at the result that:

we lost, get over it
if we liked EU so much, why didn't we move there
we were traitors
it was all going to be wonderful

It was not pleasant.

That angered me more than any other abuse or insult.

If you believe your county is better off, better placed on the world stage - more respected, by being a member of the EU, how can you possibly be a traitor? It's not even logical.

The treachery lays fair and square on those high-profile politicians and others who conducted a campaign of lies and deliberate misinformation, and manipulated the genuine fears and worries of those that they themselves have disenfranchised through their greed and megalomania, and their total lack of integrity.

Our only friends who voted leave told us that they did it because they are wealthy and they have no children so don’t care what happens to the country when they are gone! And it will keep the bxxxxy foreigners out!
Needless to say I find it hard to still be their friend.

And remember that the Electoral Commission found so many faults with the campaign and the Vote, that had it been 'for real' instead of advisory- they would have cancelled it as fraudulent.

I was pretty sure by the following logic

When a partnership breaks up both parties go their separate ways.
When you leave a club you don’t expect better terms as a non member
After 40 yrs of membership many laws have to be changed.
The leave campaign was lies from start to finish, because they were ignoring business advisors.

The vote on Brexit was very close to 50/50. So when people speak of 'The people voted' or 'The country voted' that is far from the truth. And around 8 million didn't vote at all.

If the referendum had happened a few days earlier or later the result could have been differently.

I accepted the results of the referendum as soon as they were announced, even if it was not the result I wanted.

Zoe and her ilk could do with showing a little humility and realise that any changes should be based on what the majority of people want and if on balance that is a Brexit that is closer than she would prefer, well she should accept it.

It is strange how brexit has revealed what inherent bullies many people on both sides of the fence are, and how many of them are on GN.

And you do realise of course that fruit and veg is just a blip. When checks for imports will be finally implemented by UK later this year- there will be a lot more shortages. And 'turnips' will just not be able to replace them!

More industries and businesses closing as supply chains will break-down even more significantly than now.

So, the weather in Spain and Morocco is responsible for the lack of fresh fruit and veg in the UK and, according to some sources, also in Europe.

Last week I went to my local Grand Frais in Perigueux. The counters and shelves were groaning with fresh fruit and veg and also meat and fish. Several varieties of apples and tomatoes. Also several varieties of citrus fruits including oranges amère and cedrat for making marmalade. These last two came from Spain and Italy - no problem caused by cold weather or snow.

I wished that I had a camera with me so that I could photo the shelves and post on here. But then I thought that would be rubbing salt into an open wound.
