Simple way to stop it then. Give them a large enough income with the proviso that they keep quiet. The RF could easily afford to do it if they wanted to.
Very naive to think that anybody can be trusted not to leak information under the claim that it’s in the public interest!
Certainly not that pair.

The King evicts Harry and his wife from Frogmore!
(442 Posts)The King has reportedly evicted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage, their residence in Windsor. Buckingham Palace let the Duke and www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1740755/royal-family-meghan-markle-prince-harry-frogmore-cottage-king-charles of Susses know about the plan to take away the property from them just days after Harry's tell-all memoir, Spare, was published worldwide, it has been claimed.
Please can someone post a link to the information that Charles paid the Frogmore bill. He gave them money but they paid the bill.
Shame on H and M if they left Charles to repay their expenditure and good for Charles if he did quietly pick up the bill.
It’s correct that inheritance tax isn’t paid on the personal estate of the monarch. The Queen reached an agreement with the Treasury about which taxes the monarch would pay and Charles said he would honour it. Many things owned by the monarch are not their personal property and automatically pass to the next monarch on death and are exempt from inheritance tax such as Crown Estate property. Other members of the RF are subject to inheritance tax in the usual way.
Is it a form of revenge by Charles evicting H and M and giving PA their house? Or is it just economics? PA doesn't need a 31 bedroomed house that needs a lot of money spent on it and H and M now live in the USA.
Allegedly H & M did not pay back the money on Frogwell. In the end Charles paid it in order to save public embarrassment. Oh dear, all this reliance on Daddy!! The late Q.M left W & H a substantial sum which they inherit when they turn 40, so Harry has another inheritance waiting in The wings! Allegedly the RF do pay inheritance tax, all that is except the Monarch.
As for Charles the cruel!! Charles the weak was doing the rounds but all I've read to day is Charles the strong for at last getting a grip on these two appalling people, their cruel actions, (the late Queen in particular) and accusations, personal and often false. Unbelievably horrid.
I'll help as well!
H and M repaid the renovation costs after they left the country.
Andrew sold the house he had built land the Queen gave him. The buyer demolished it and built another house.

I thought I read that Michael and Zeta Douglas were living in St James Palace.
That must be a blow for HM.A one-bedroom flat in St James's Palace is currently on the rental market for just under £4,000 a month
Anyone can rent there if they have the money and presumably if they pass all the security criteria.
I've applied. 👸
We need a little London bolthole.
Keep me in mind if you need cleaner Callistemon🧹😄
I don't like what H&M have, but didn't Harry personally pay the renovation bill for Frogmore? What is happening to the big ostentatious house Andrew was living in? didn't he and Fergie have it built after they got married on land gifted to them by the Queen.

Harry has inherited a large amount of money from his mother's estate, as has William.
As far as I am aware the rest of the immediate royal family do not have a great deal of personal money; they have their income and living expenses from the royal estate (Duchy of Lancaster?) and a home which is leased but which they do not own, in return for royal duties.
Harry has chosen to live abroad and has chosen not to comply with the royal duties that were asked of him, therefore he has no claim to a royal residence in Britain as of right.
If he wishes for a home in Britain he has sufficient money to purchase or rent one, and pay for his own security.
That is my understanding anyway.
The Queen's wealth was estimated at between £400 mill and £350 mill which I suppose isn't much.
We don't really know because Royal wills are kept locked for 90 years. They don't however pay inheritance tax.

^I also think that ‘financially independent’ people in middle age would want to work make their own money and not rely on Daddy.^
Isn't that how the RF works? Didn't one old man just inherit from his mother?
Do Charles, Anne, Andrew and Edward inherit from Queen Elizabeth and do they pay inheritance tax or how does it work for the Royals.
He inherited a job ,

Hush money would be very underhanded. I doubt KC would even consider it and H and M seem to be doing fine without money from RF.

It is indeed a vile thing to do. Offer Harry and Meghan a ‘large enough’ income to keep them quiet. Apart from the simple fact that I think it unlikely that they’d want to be bought off because they enjoy digging the dirt on the royal family far too much I also think that ‘financially independent’ people in middle age would want to work make their own money and not rely on Daddy.
It’s blackmail and it’s vile
It's only blackmail if the person threatens to do something and demands money to stop. If you offer someone money to keep quiet it's a non-disclosure agreement
It is indeed Annie.
Indeed it is.

Harry maybe. Meghan would hate that.

How would that work for a couple who have explicitly said they want to stand on their own financial feet?

Much of the UK media will portray this eviction as a righteous act by a strong king.
It’s anything but.
Instead of building bridges the head of state is torching them.
The banishment of his son is cruel, unnecessary and diminishes Charles.
KingCharles the cruel is trending on Twitter.
No.
King Charles is streamlining the Royal Family which as a Royalist I am all in favour of.
Prince Harry cannot expect to be received back into the fold with open arms after publicly trashing his family on numerous occasions. He is a grown man with a family of his own, he knew his actions would have consequences and the non-renewal of the lease on his grace and favour home Frogmore Cottage is one of them.
He is a no longer a working royal therefore the perks will and should be removed.
I am all kn favour of Prince Andrew downsizing also.
