The King has reportedly evicted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage, their residence in Windsor. Buckingham Palace let the Duke and www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1740755/royal-family-meghan-markle-prince-harry-frogmore-cottage-king-charles of Susses know about the plan to take away the property from them just days after Harry's tell-all memoir, Spare, was published worldwide, it has been claimed.

Harry likes to say that he knows what Diana was thinking and how she felt, but he was just a child of 12 when she died. How many of us, with only a child's understanding, really know our parents?

I was 46 when my Mum died and friends came up to me at her funeral and told me many things about her of which I knew nothing. There was a whole side to her which I never knew and parts of her which I'd never understood finally fell into place .... and that was as an adult.

If he takes after the Spencers, then maybe he feels a bit of an odd one out?
Havent read the book. Maybe I should some day.

I hadnt given much thought to, he has left behind his mum's side of the family too, by physically leaving the Uk.

It doesn’t really matter whether Harry is, or is not, the biological son of Charles, because Charles has completely accepted Harry as his son, and has been there as his father every step of the way. For what it’s worth, I think he is the son of Charles, but it simply doesn’t matter what my opinion, or anyone else’s opinion on the topic is, because the royal family and Charles accept Harry as the legitimate son of Charles. He is in the line of succession, fifth I think at the moment, as are his two children, sixth and seventh. Hopefully none of them will ever accede to the throne, and as the children of William grow up and become parents, Harry and his children will become irrelevant as they won’t ever accede to the throne and they won’t be doing any royal duties.
I would suspect that DNA evidence has been sought, just to put their minds at rest, but maybe not, because Harry was never destined to be King, and adopted children are loved just as much as natural born children, though as I said, I believe Harry to be the biological son of Charles.

But it would matter to Harry. Which was my point.

Harry looks like a Spencer, William like a Windsor straightforward, step DIL has 4 children, 2 like his family, 2 like hers, very different kids.

varian Mon 06-Mar-23 19:24:09

Yes, that's what we were told.

Smileless2012 Mon 06-Mar-23 19:21:40

Why would they do a DNA test? H was 3 when Diana met Hewitt.

Prince William has a strong look of the Hanovarian Windsors. The Duke of Kent, Lord Freddie Windsor Prince Edward,,slightly jowly particularly as he gets older.

There are photos of Edward VII as a young man where he is the spitting image of Prince William. Likewise Princess Beatrice is the double of Queen Victoria at a similar age.

Anniebach Mon 06-Mar-23 18:06:43

Surely they have the sense to accept Diana is from a family where there is ginger hair.

varian Mon 06-Mar-23 17:56:27

I wonder if they ever did a DNA test.

Perhaps not. I was always told you should not ask a question if you might get an answer you didn't like.

No idea how people still ponder about who is Harry's father.

The likeness between him, Charles and Philip is hard to deny.

As I said, Harry has the same eyes as Charles so there is no doubt in my mind. However, I'm not sure anyone except Hewitt can say for sure when he met Diana. In the 2005 documentary Under Hypnosis: James Hewitt he apparently said their relationship became intimate in 1981 before Harry was born. So this leaves doubt and always will.

Calendargirl Mon 06-Mar-23 16:22:39

If there was any doubt, surely the Royals will have had discreet DNA tests done to prove Harry is Charles’ son?

William doesn’t look like Charles either, come to that, but he doesn’t have red hair.

Jaberwok Mon 06-Mar-23 16:21:09

Yes he does look like the Spencers, a photo of the present Earl Spencer as a young man looks very like Harry.

Framilode Mon 06-Mar-23 16:17:36

I saw a programme on the tv several years ago, where Hewitt was hypnotised and said that he and Diana met in 1982 and started a relationship in that year. Just saying.

Anniebach Mon 06-Mar-23 16:17:05

Harry is so like the Spencers, At Diana’s funeral there was a young Spencer cousin to Harry, so alike.

The more people that post pictures of James Hewitt, the more I wonder whether he is a Royal.
I dont want to think that, and could be very wrong.
But it would explain a whole heap of things.

Fancythat
Have you seen these photos of Harry and the Duke of Edinburgh.

Yes.
But trouble is, I have seen the other photos too.
I dont know. confused

He looks. Like Charles to me. Unfair to sully Diana’s reputation. She didn’t meet Hewitt for several years when her marriage had broken down.

eazybee Mon 06-Mar-23 16:01:02

Interesting, but I can't see the likeness, only similarity of uniform and facial hair. But I do think Harry is Charles' son.

Diana didn’t meet James Hewitt until after Harry was born. He was their riding instructor.

Harry does look a lot like James Hewitt except for one thing. He has Charles's eyes, and it's very distinctive when you look closely. The likeness to Hewitt is very unfortunate though, because it leaves an element of doubt.

Harry was 3yrs old when Diana met hewitt. well documented.
