By the time pupils had got changed and outside, it would be time to come in again! 30 mins actual exercise would take up 50 minutes of school time if ten minutes changing time at each end of the lesson was factored in.
Since the pandemic, I know of some schools where pupils go in their kit and wear it all day. Not sure how that would be in terms of the hygiene aspect for older pupils…!
I totally agree with your comments regarding the benefit of music, Cabbie21, which is in danger of being squeezed out.
Ultimately, exercise can only improve matters so much unless parents are helping by feeding their children with healthy foods and restricting snacks.
