Gary Glitter back behind bars ( for now)

I hope by him being incarcerated keeps those who he may have prayed on safe.

(I own up to going to one of his Christmas concerts about 28-30 years ago, there were around 40 of us and we all dressed up and had a marvellous evening, he knew how to put on a show )

Sickening, he needs to be kept locked up now, he is totally shameless!!

I saw a comment from someone official saying he is unlikely to ever be released from prison.

It is incredible that having been in prison for so long and released with so many conditions, he is found flouting a key one, in public, within a week. It does suggest that what ever it is that drives a perversion like this in some men, it is something they cannot control, which means, effectively, life imprisonment is the only way to protect society from them.

Back where he belongs.

Awful as it sounds, I really hope someone in prison beats the worthless life straight out of him. I look at him and don’t see a human being. He is sub-human as they come and unworthy of a painless death.

Let's hope he ends his days in prison. I didn't realise he was 78.

So now a PCSO called Matthew Shaw aged 38 has been jailed for 14 years after a string of utterly vile sex offences against children. His crimes were even worse than GG's but he won't get the publicity GG has had when he comes out. So just pray he never sees the light of day again.

I think they should consider putting something in the water…

It will be up to the parole board to decide when and if he is released again. I think he’ll have an uphill there. Quite frightening that even at 78 he presents a threat.

Good and good on the person who is reported to have exposed him to the authorities.
Will he have to serve the outstanding 8 years now ? I hope so.

Well that didn't take long did it - totally predictable.

Unfortunately there are many more like him, but because they're not well known their activities once out of prison go undetected.

But footage filmed by another prisoner at his bail hostel emerged this weekend showing Glitter – whose real name is Paul Gadd – using a smartphone and talking about accessing the dark web, which allows users to access illegal and violent content.
Prison didn't succeed in reforming him, did it.

Any re-release is now a matter for the Parole Board.
Let's hope they consider the public good and never let him out again.

I'm sure there must be a deep, dark hole somewhere, we could shove him down that!
He doesn't deserve to breathe the same air as the rest of us.
