Is this the best outcome?

His wife would be pulled apart by the gutter press so not surprised.

So sorry, I listened to different collection of videos in error,
checked again and the video I quoted has a disclaimer.

Is it really in the book? Did Harry actually have that put in his book? I’m afraid I find that creepy, both that Meghan did these things, if she did, and if he agreed to publishing it to the world. That is so weird. I can’t get my head round it, if it’s true.

Me neither, it is truly weird.

Who cut pieces off Diana's hair and when?
Not Harry, surely he wasn't allowed to see her body?

His family may be concerned that he will do another interview
after the coronation

Made his bed now he must lie in it. Two childish narcissistic money grabbers who have split two families. He should stay at home in California, she and he keep their big moaning mouths tightly shut from now on.

hmm looks as if H's not the only one in need of therapy.

Er, no thanks.

Meghan isn't daft. You can't compete with a dead mother, so best show you want her on your side.

Creepy!

Shock horror.
I didn't think Meghan was that daft.

Anniebach Sun 16-Apr-23 11:38:52

Good grief, Harry is in danger. No rumour , it’s in his book ,
Megan insisted on having a photograph of Diana by her bed when she was in Labour, put a box containing Diana’s hair next to them when trying to conceive .

No I haven’t read the book but do listen to ‘The Vintage Road Show’ on uTube.

The mothers of Diana, Sarah, Megan, left them with their fathers.

They didn't actually.
Diana's father took her mother to court to get custody.
Meghan lived with her mother until she was 9, then with her father.
Sarah's parents didn't divorce until she was 15

I think there has only been one, unsubstantiated rumour concerning Prince William, and that was years ago. As far as I can see, he and Catherine look extremely happy and supportive of each other and particularly in the up bringing of their children. Lets face it, a lot of marriages go through a rough patch or even two and settle down happily, the RF are no different to anyone else in that respect.

Princess Anne dated Parker-Bowles at the same time as Camilla but she was genius at keeping her private life hidden and living life on her own terms.. all the women could have learnt alot from her. Nobody ever questioned Anne's integrity.. no scandals with her..

Glorianny Sun 16-Apr-23 10:00:41

Gosh does no one remember the rumours about Philip around about the time of the Duchess of Argyle scandal? And numerous other hints about his infidelity? Strangely enough the same things are being said about William. So perhaps those marriages have much in common. The wives were prepared both to put up and shut up. And the husbands managed their peccadilloes quietly.

That doesnt mean it wouldnt have an impact on children though whatever the time frame. To be fair Andrew's children should be unable to function which doesnt seem the case.

Despite all their shortcomings, the toe sucking, Jeffrey Epstein saga, dodgy dealings et al, Sarah and Andrew seem to have made their style of co-parenting work, they have always seemed a team regarding bringing up their daughters, and you have never heard either of them bad mouthing the other.

Their two daughters seemed to have grown up fairly unscathed by it all.

Jaberwok Sun 16-Apr-23 09:53:11

The Queen and Prince Philip certainly had their ups and downs which perhaps today would = a permanent down. The Profumo affair being the most serious. I remember around that time my mother remarking that the Queen looked very unhappy . Luckily, no social media to tear into them, and with the birth of Prince Andrew, things appeared to settle down and yes the marriage seemed happy enough.

*Diana, Sarah, Meghan all came from troubled family backgrounds*. As did the men they married

Yes, the women all came from troubled family backgrounds, as did Harry. But Charles and Andrew? Their background is certainly not what most, if not all of us, would recognise as normal (whatever normal is) but the Queen and Prince Philip were happily married for over seventy years. So not troubled, but certainly different, but probably not really that different from any other royal families at that time. Everything needs to be seen in the right context and with the right time frame in mind.

Sorry, Iam. I didn’t spot your post.

Good point, Annie. Those who have married into the RF from a secure background have made a much better fist of it.

Yes, I agree, William also came from a troubled family background, the same one as Harry.

So why does his marriage appear happier, more grounded, more settled?

Perhaps the partner he chose, and her approach to her marriage and her future life?

And yes, her background, from a family who are obviously still very important in her new life.
