I won’t. But even swearing allegiance in the Abbey seems strange as, I assume, there will be a lot of foreign dignitaries.

I am interested in the Coronation as a once in a lifetime experience. I don’t dislike the RF but I disagree with the wealth etc. I certainly won’t be swearing allegiance, I thought it was a joke!

There has long been talk that Meghan and Harry should be employing different advisers, but I do wonder whether the same applies to the King. In the Prince of Wales’s position I would be itching to make changes, but there again, the King was previously in the same position, and his choices are now being criticised.

As a Republican I'll be watching some of the Coronation ceremony purely out of interest in social history, but I feel no allegiance whatsoever to Charles or to any other Royal. The whole concept is a total anachronism, and should be at the very least scaled down to the point where it is no more than a tourist attraction. The Civil List should be abolished, and the so=called Monarchy should play no part whatsoever, even in a ritual sense, in the Government of our Nation. I could say much more about the "worthiness" of the Royal couple, but I'll leave it there. So it's a "No" from me.

Millions around the world will be watching, and enjoying the historical moment in our history. . If your so against it why bother. Just get on with your day. We'll stay with the Kingdoms of Spain, Sweden, Norway, thank-you. A Republic was tried in this country once, it ended well, didn't it. ?

My neighbour has organised a party for friends and neighbours and I always support her even if I don't support the reason for celebration. It's on the Sunday and having made the Jubilee trifle for her last bash, I've been asked to make a cake like the coronation crown (ffs!) So I shall spend Saturday faffing around with purple and gold sugar paste + a collection of wine gums etc surrounded by sponge cake! A definite no from me but I am pleased the invitations have gone to "ordinary" people who have contributed to society in some way rather than just the great and the good.

Well how do we know who wishes to do this unless all are asked.? Obviously the police aren’t going to knock on the door of those who aren’t tugging their forelocks, but the whole idea is treating us like infants. I wonder how many people wish to do this? Not many I’m guessing.

I will not. I swore an oath to the late Queen when I joined the Services, and was proud to honour that oath, but it died with her. I have to wonder how much the King is letting himself be led through the nose in all this, especially by Lambeth Palace who must be rubbing their hands with glee.
