Anyone from Coalville/NW Leicestershire. What do you think about the Bridgen saga?

It’s no disgrace not to have finished Royal Marine training…. It’s okay.

Amen to that.

But we love Captain Mainwaring, not a good comparison. He's not loathsome, not in the same category at all.
Underneath that brusque exterior was a good man. (Mainwaring, not Bridgen.)

"Don't tell him, Pike!"

Oh agreed.

I shudder to think Bridgen served in the Marines but never finished the course. Wonder what happened.

Yes, his updated information states he is a member of the Reclaim Party.

It is wrong; they have someone representing them whose policies they did not vote for.

No by-election, but he is apparently joining the Reclaim Party, which is Lawrence Fox’s new home, I saw it on the news the other day. I don’t think his constituents will have any say in his choices until the next election, that’s how it usually works. It seems completely wrong.

Is he your MP, Fleurpepper?
Is there a by-election (if that was on the news, I missed it).

How do some of them get through the selection process? 🤔

No, but I know the area well. He and his 'twin' Mark Francois always struck me as little Captain Manwarings and quite loathsome.

What has happened to Francois by the way- has he disappeared?

I'm not from his constituency (as you know) but close by. I have never met anyone with a good word to say about him.

He has had the Conservative whip removed and joined reform. I've no idea how a by-election can be triggered in that circumstance - anyone able to enlighten me?

I would imagine that his constituents are counting the days to the next election. Would anyone want to take any issue that usually falls within an MP's remit to an MP with such flawed thinking? How could you have any confidence in his judgment of th e possibility of him making a rational decision and following through.

I'll come clean, I find him a loathsome individual and there should be a by-election asap.
