Absolutely V3. ✂️✂️✂️

I fear that H&M 'cry wolf' far too often.
They are at risk, obviously, being high profile, but they would improve their safety and be taken more seriously if they toned it down a bit.

Seat belts.

www.cosmopolitan.com/entertainment/a26021583/why-royals-dont-wear-seat-belts/

sometimes royals don't wear seat belts in order to escape quickly in an emergency.

Do feel free to make a fuss about whether they are royal or not, I would expect no less.

In Tudor times it was slang for ‘breasts’. I find it an ugly word too.

Completely off topic, but I can still recall, as a good wee Catholic girl, sniggering at the gospel reading for 3rd Sunday in Lent ( yes, we knew where to find it in the Mass book!)
‘ Blessed is the womb that bore thee, and the paps which gave thee suck’

They certainly do not look stressed

As in the UK, seatbelts are compulsory in NY, so why aren't they wearing them? Did the police that attended issue traffic tickets to all three, or are they above the law? Only a fool doesn't wear their seatbelt, not only to protect yourself, but as you say Mollygo to protect the driver and other passengers.

Is it true they weren’t wearing seatbelts? Out of consideration for the safety of the driver, passengers should wear seatbelts.

There’s a photo on this thread, about page 4 or 5 maybe

A photo shows they weren't wearing them Mollygo.

I have read the thread Glorianny and no one disputes that they were followed it's the melodramatic way this was reported that's being questioned.

Paparazzi, (paps). independent photographers.

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 20-May-23 12:44:04

People have said it didn’t happen in the alarmist way that the spokesman described it. ‘Following’ would seem a more accurate word than ‘chasing’, and NYPD have said the only person driving dangerously was the driver of H&M’s SUV.

I don't think anyone's said nothing happened Glorianny simply that what was originally said about the incident was inaccurate.

Try reading the thread. There are at least half a dozen posters who claim it couldn't have happened in New York, because of traffic or it was staged by M&H.

I'm pleased none of the photos taken during the chase have been published. Presumably if they realise they aren't going to make any money, because M&H will sue them for harassment if they do publish, the agency and the photographers responsible will stop chasing people.

Isn't paps an ugly word?

Or is it me?🤔

Yes, it sounds like a euphemism for something unpleasant

Exactly so, Smileless, yet some people appear to be struggling with that interpretation. Can't see why? Even Scobie is back-pedalling like a good 'un.. for all the good it will do now. Own goal.

Oh another thought. Just curious, but I wonder who was looking after the children. Maybe they were with the friends whose place they were staying at.

I know Doria is meant to be involved with looking after the children, but I expect a couple of nannies are also on active duty whenever required,

Anniebach Sat 20-May-23 11:53:30

Yes entitled to say they feel scared same as entitled to say they were married in their garden 3 days before the Church wedding

Sorry to all those "It never happened" It did. The main agency responsible say they had 4 people working and they followed them- "armed only with cameras"!!!
They transferred to a taxi and were still followed.
They eventually had a police convoy to take them home.

Now their security team may have handled things badly but that isn't M&H's fault.
The photographers may think they were not aggressive, but M&H thought they were,
The taxi driver might not have been bothered by the people following, but the security guard was.
The police may think it wasn't serious but they took them home.

So can people stop pretending nothing happened, because something certainly did. And they are quite entitled to feel scared by the events.
