Anyone see the awful outfit that Camilla was wearing yesterday? A bright blue very wide-legged jumpsuit. She isn't the right shape, height, age for it. Who advised her to wear it for goodness sake? Not at all flattering.

I tried to post a photo of it but it hasn't worked. Sorry.

Colour good. Too long and a bit wide and long in the legs. I would have thought a nice maxi dress more comfy tho in this weather.

CheersMeDears

If wide leg trousers are strip hazards on stairs, I might just get myself a pair! wink

blush Don’t think that was auto correct: must have been ffs….! Mind you, I suppose that, whilst falling down the stairs my pyjama bottoms might fall down in the process…

I love the vibrant blue colour which really suits her but agree it does appear to be a bit too wide & long in the leg. Jumpsuits can be a right faff when going to the loo too.

Oh my goodness it’s dreadful isn’t it?
I don’t think it would be flattering on anyone, even a beautifully slim, tall model.

Whatever was she thinking?

She was thinking she liked it I expect, the long wide look is really on trend right now, I just bought some really wide trousers in a cotton linen mix, really cool to wear and more flattering a look than tight ones are.I wear them with heels tho as not right with flat shoes IMHO.

I do think that the legs look a bit too long, but maybe that's the angle of the photograph.
I'm petite and love wide leg trousers, teamed with a waist length top, it's a good combination for me.
I'm no fan of Camilla, but I think she looks fine.
I have two jumpsuits and agree that they are a convoluted carry on when you need to spend a penny

Miaow!

Oreo Mon 12-Jun-23 22:43:45

Careful grumppa or we’ll buy you a pair and force to to wear them , men should look fashionable too😂

Lomo123 Mon 12-Jun-23 22:55:42

Lovely colour, maybe a bit too much material in the legs though.

mabon1 Mon 12-Jun-23 23:01:22

I agree

Callistemon21 Mon 12-Jun-23 23:30:10

Were they both wearing blue for a reason?

I must say I wouldn't wear it.

I'm wearing a very ancient pair of cut-off cargo trousers in boring navy with a boring navy and white t-shirt. No shoes.
But I hadn't been out today.

Why do the two senior Royal women wear blue so much. The Princess of Wales is always wearing it and every family photo she takes and issues to the press seems to have the whole family, including her DH, in the same shade of mid-blue. Such a dull colour. Is it like school uniform, if she is wearing blue it is an official duty.

Carenza123 Tue 13-Jun-23 07:28:19

Just - NO!

tickingbird Tue 13-Jun-23 07:46:42

I don’t think it was a good look but I’d bet my bottom dollar it was some stylist that decided it was a good idea. They’re professionals who often get it wrong.

Ditch the stylist Camilla smile

Oreo Tue 13-Jun-23 08:28:20

Monica it’s royal blue 😁
I like it but wouldn't wear it too often, I think she would suit pink or green.

Billybob4491 Tue 13-Jun-23 08:46:29

It looks as if the chappie on the right in the photo is trying not to giggle.

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 13-Jun-23 08:48:40

Oh dear MOnica, you would say the same of me - invariably wearing blue or black. People wear colours they like.

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 13-Jun-23 08:50:12

Her outfit reminds me of a clown’s.

M0nica Tue 13-Jun-23 09:33:32

Yes, GSM but do you, your DH, DC/DGC all wear the same colour when out together? This is the aspect which puzzles me.

We all have favourite colours/patterns/fabrics/styles, that is how our individual style is defined, but extending that to your children and DH really is - unusual.

I am one of three girls, and my mother went through a stage of dressing us alike - I was 6 1/2 years older than my youngest sister, you have no idea how embarrassing/ infuriating etc it was when I was 10-12 to be dressed the same as my 4-6 year old sister.

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 13-Jun-23 09:35:50

My husband’s favourite colour is also blue but we don’t try to match our outfits! Years ago I lived near a couple who always wore matching clothes - weird.

The Queen wore this jumpsuit before at the Coronation concert and it looked elegant. It’s just a particularly unflattering picture. At least, I hope so, as I’ve just bought some very wide leg jeans that I think look fine on me, young and long-limbed though I most certainly am not. Fortunately I’m unlikely to have a photographer following me when I step out in them. smile

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 13-Jun-23 09:41:51

I think these things tend to look ok when you’re just standing in front of the mirror. When you walk there’s always the danger of ‘the Camilla effect’.

Esmay Tue 13-Jun-23 09:55:31

Same as Luckygirl3 and sodapop - my jumpsuit days are long over .

I'd never get it lowered in order to pee in time !

Mollygo Tue 13-Jun-23 09:55:38

^ I think these things tend to look ok when you’re just standing in front of the mirror.^

Actually, yes. For me, if I was standing in front of a mirror and something looked OK, I’d wear it.
If I was famous and likely to be photographed, and have people passing unkind comments on what I’m wearing, I might not.
Queen Camilla obviously has enough self-confidence not to worry about that.

Boz Tue 13-Jun-23 10:06:22

I have a couple of black jumpsuits but find them a real pain when going to the loo as you have to virtually undress, hoping the floor isn't wet!
I agree that the picture showing movement is not flattering but she would have looked ok standing in front of a mirror.
