The headline in the Inependent.

Had he not released parts of the "in confidence" report and led an attack to undermine the Parliamentary Committee and those on it, it would have been less, but this brought it up to a recommendation of 90 days and removal of his pass.

westendgirl I am just thinking that Harriet Harman has gone into overdrive with her comments - that’s her perogative after all - but the great media spin machine has the ability to churn it up against her. Just a thought. Masters of deception all of them - sadly.

Your posts are not making sense?

It's *ronib's famous 'stream of consciousness' 😂

We now have foul mouthed fishwife, Angela Rayner calling out BJ when she and Starmer were drinking and eating curry during covid at a works do but managed to wriggle out of that. Likewise the bright red trout pout Beth Rigsby who was banned from reporting on Sky news for attending Kay Burley’s birthday party who was herself removed from our screens for 6 months.

Which awful rag have you been reading now?

Wyllow3 you realise that GB news has the highest audience over BBC and Sky News?
The opposition might just have landed an own goal - but let’s wait and see.

Some of us watch it just to see what rubbish is spoken.

What does this childish outburst of name calling have to do with a Prime Minister lying to parliament?

westendgirl Fri 16-Jun-23 09:23:22

For goodness sake primrose do you have to stoop to such third rate media language.
It really doesn't go with your name.

Gb news beats Sky news and Bbc Farage leaves competitors lacking
Gb news gone from strength to strength
And with BJ as guest host who knows?

There you go ronib
www.barb.co.uk/monthly-viewing/
From what I have seen you are talking about a five hour period on one day. That does not make GB News the most watched channel.

Can’t believe how much time, effort and publicity given to this. Many politicians lie, we know that. Someone has it in for him. Catch criminals, catch spies, sort out the health system for goodness sake. We are just as bad here, anything to distract from urgent health issues in the here and now.

Let's put this right once and for all nana8. All politicians do not lie. Yes, they may spin and put things in the best light but they do not necessarily lie and they certainly do not lie to Parluament and then refuse to retract that lie. Just because some people commit a murder does not justify you going out and committing one too. It is an argument lacking any normal logic.

This man, having been honoured with the highest position in the land, has lied against the rules of our dedemocracy. If he had lied in this way in court he would have spent some time in prison for perjury. The people who make our laws should be held to the same rigour as those who carry it through.

It is appalling that there are some who are so keen on personality politics that they think it's all one big joke. It seems they have lost their own sense of morality.

Those MPs who have choose to absent themselves for the day of the vote are simply cowards and are not defending our country. That they will vote against or abstain is unbelievable. They show themselves to belong to a party that does not believe in the Democratic rules of this country.

You’ve misinterpreted the information ronib, BBC News has 9.7m audience, it’s still by far the most viewed channel.

He's welcome to go off to GB news. Just wish it would get off other media but that wouldn't suit - he loves to be in the limelight good or bad. Too much like Trump for my liking.

ronib Fri 16-Jun-23 07:47:16

Ww2 GB news will probably invite BJ as a guest presenter. I watched a bit of the Liz Truss/Dan Wootton show last night and the knives are out for Starmer.

One point to make is that effectively BJ is unlikely to face any real sanctions - take away his privileged access as an ex MP - no problem. He can apply for a day pass in the normal way. I doubt that his £100k allowance as an ex PM can be removed. Another empty rhetoric week from the political scene.
Yet another week when BJ invaded the minds of the people.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 16-Jun-23 07:23:10

Good post nana

The really depressing thing is that I keep reading how dangerous Johnson may become outside of parliament.

He only will do so if he is given a willing platform by a media with a very questionable agenda.

NanaDana Fri 16-Jun-23 07:04:23

I'm constantly amazed by the desperate attempts of those few diehard supporters who repeatedly try to create an alternate reality about what Johnson actually did, even when the facts which clearly define his guilt are staring them in the face. Multiple examples of repeated lies, obfuscation and contempt, not just of of due process, but also of the population of this country, who sacrificed so much throughout the Covid pandemic. Despicable behaviour, and how anyone on God's earth could continue to support this creature after what he has done is utterly beyond my comprehension. And now we're getting a half-baked, meaningless vote, effectively with no Whip, as to whether or not to "accept" the report. When will that be transformed into much-deserved, appropriate punishment? Toothless, so far, and this teflon-coated, non-load-bearing, sloping-shouldered liar at the centre of it continues to tell us how lucky we were to have had him in the driving seat. Delusional. He's trying to out-do Trump... and coming pretty close to succeeding. Depressing times for our democracy.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 16-Jun-23 06:56:01

Parliament into disrepute
A voting population that has no trust in the political system
A voting population that can’t believe what their PM says
No policy of note passed since he took office
Corruption and cronyism rife
Division and hatred
No clear economic plan
A health system going down the tubes
An almost non existent care service
A judicial service on its knees
Immigration policy in absolute chaos

That is what a narcissistic sociopath brings to the country. So of course he had to be dealt with.

Now let’s concentrate on the country’s needs.

What it doesn’t need is another Tory government!

Nobody ‘has it in for him’.. The fact is all liars get caught out eventually.

I’ve spent the day listening to Johnson’s fans arguing that Johnson did nothing wrong, and it’s currently happening again on Newsnight. Victoria Derbyshire is doing well….

Guto Harri is defending him on QT.

It’s pretty much meaningless, DaisyAnne. It tells MPs when the vote is and what the party’s policy indicates (in this case a free vote) but there is no requirement to attend or vote.

DaisyAnneReturns Thu 15-Jun-23 21:52:38

Thanks Siope I'm having trouble keeping upsmile.

What pressure is there from a one-liner? You would think it means that at least they have turn up.
