Should have known, this is turning out to be an us and them discussion. Some are more worthy, boats in the med, than people who are rich. Both suffering a horrible death, possibly .Disgusting.

I hope they are found safe but all the money being spent on the rescue of people who are made very aware of the dangers seems wrong to me. Surely they can think of better ways to spend a spare quarter of a million.

Such as, its their money, why should others tell them how to spend it.

I was just watching this

Four hours to get down over two miles, and bolted in from the outside? No thank you.
It would be better if the pressure had got them instantaneously.

I agree AGA. The company which runs these ghoulish trips should be charged with the rescue costs.

5 or 6 very rich men lost in 3,800 metres of water, on a vanity trip.

Hundreds of drowned women and children lying 5,000 metres deep in the Mediterannean, locked in an overcrowded boat, fleeing from misery and poverty.

My worst nightmare too! I most definitely am claustrophobic and nothing would tempt me to go in that thing.

Fingers crossed we get some good news soon.

Absolutely not! I can't think of anything worse. I'm not claustrophobic, but even the thought being trapped in a submarine underwater gives me the heebie-jeebies. I really hope all those on board are found safe and well, but as you say, it's not looking very promising.

The thoughts of this makes me shudder can't think of anything worse for those poor people. Hope they do find them, have until 12 noon Thursday I believe, before 02 runs out.
No amount of money would persuade me to go under the North Atlantic in a sub. Personally think that the grave that is Titanic, should be left in peace.

No way! And think of what charities could do with the obscene $250k pp fare.
I have great admiration for ‘proper’ submariners though - very brave.
No, it’s not looking good unfortunately.

Thinking about this could almost cause me to hyperventilate! I would never embark on such a dangerous voyage. I know it’s only supposed to be of short duration (not sure how long) but so risky. I feel the same when I hear of Richard Branson’s plans to offer commercial space flights at some astronomical price.

Would anyone on here take part if money was no object?

I hope this sub and the people on board (one just a teenager) are found safe and well but the signs don’t look good.
