The thing is those supporting this have to be happy for it to be used against people they value. The BBC gave a platform to drag artists who mocked womens genitals, sorry there is no other way to say that. It's an interesting campaign which I think some womens groups will be looking at closely.
On the other side those who are happy for Clarkson to say what he likes need to think about how they would feel if that article had been written about the Queen.

I’m really delighted to find that so many on here think that sexism is not OK.

I’ve never rated Jeremy Clarkson, though I did find him a better Top Gear presenter than the IMO self-obsessed Freddie Flintoff.
I’m surprised there hasn’t been more objections to the film he’s said to be copying.
Whilst what Jeremy said was very unpleasant, if no one’s been up in arms about saying that in a film that they have evidently watched and not complained about why suddenly attack him?

Women can be absolutely nasty and personal and really dig deep to find out things to hurt you with... then wrap it all up in a pretty bow convincing others that you deserved it because they are the real victim

I thought it was a misogynistic article. Controlling the speech of others tends to be a disaster for women. It's generally important to look at the longer term impact rather than the short term impact of shutting up Clarkson

I’m so glad I enjoyed a career with men who weren’t afraid to open their mouths, get into a lift with a woman, ask a woman out for a business lunch or dinner, hold a door open, offer a seat. I worked with men as their equal for many years. No problems at all despite being good looking in those days if I dare say so. I just don’t identify at all with what’s being said here despite a very long marriage to an abusive man. Despite a struggle to make a start in my career because I hadn’t been to university, I have never experienced misogyny. I have been treated as a man in the same situation would have been treated then. I don’t have a warped view of men despite a very unhappy first marriage. I have no reason to think of men as the patriarchy or the enemy. That may well have been why I succeeded and am less than popular with dyed in the wool feminists than with men. Fine by me.

Although Jeremy Clarkson clearly went too far with his unpleasant comments, I nevertheless share his opinion of Meghan Markle.

You do however come to realise why misogyny and violence against women are found in all levels of society and in organisations such as the Metropolitan Police. Because some women think it is funny and are sorry for men who are "afraid to get into lifts with women"- Well at least some of them know how women have felt for years!

I’m not a fool Glorianny. I have encountered deeply unpleasant men and was married to one for 23 years. It hasn’t turned me into a crowing feminist. I take people as I find them.

I agree Bodach. I have never been what most here would call a feminist. Probably because I spent my working life in what was a men’s world and got on with them perfectly well, doing the same job and neither expecting nor getting special treatment. I tend to get on better with men than women.

And yes, I find Clarkson amusing.

I'm actually gobsmacked that someone can't recognise that there are men out there who are not nice men, not men they would get on well with, and men who regard the writings of people like Clarkson as justification for violence against women.
Be grateful you haven't encountered them, but try to understand that they do exist. (And you wouldn't "get on" with them )
