Do you live in the ULEZ area Authoress?

Jess 20. Cannot agree that it is all down to us. The earth has been changing climates for millennia.
At one time you could ice skate on the River Thames and Walnuts grew near Hadrians Wall. Neither of those phenomena are happening at the moment.
Climate change has always been.

ULEZ is essential to lower pollution and stop people suffering asthma and chest problems. No doubt in the science. The issue is the cynical use of it by the Tories as a political football...

And as for "global boiling" - I watched people FLYING OUT ON HOLIDAY to places like Rhodes, and wondered what on earth they don't understand about carbon footprint?!

We need to do all we can, and insist our chocolate-teapot politicians do too!

ULEZ isn’t an inconvenience to richer people, just to the poorer people who can’t afford to buy a newer car.

It’s not above average temperatures here on the south coast today, it’s barely 18 degrees and damp.

When it's so blindingly obvious the earth is in trouble down to us, why are we doing so little to save it? To paraphrase what Greta said, it's not just up to us individuals, we're not the experts, we need those in charge to find a way to mitigate the worst and exercise some leadership. And Uxbridge went to the Tories because people don't want the inconvenience of ulez?

I’m staying in Wisconsin this week and was shocked at the fog caused by the Canadian wildfires. The sun was a really funny colour too. Fortunately it seems to have lifted at the moment but apparently it was terrible. Very worrying!

Bea65 Thu 27-Jul-23 18:23:07

Meteorologists are saying we’re above the average temperatures in UK but why say Boiling?

Bea65 Thu 27-Jul-23 18:21:27

Can’t believe am thinking this- apparently we’re not .. global warming but 🥵
