I think it's another example of a person in a corporation or public body failing upwards. I was very disappointed in Rachel Reeves, a politician I admire, to declare her ousting was somehow down to her being a woman at the top, when in fact nothing of the sort, she broke a cardinal rule sharing information about a customer's account. I think it's disgraceful that she is in line to receive this payout, contracts clearly set in stone no matter what, and will no doubt secure another lucrative position somewhere else. How bad do people have to be in high positions before they become a persona non grata. The management at the Chester Hospital were able to overrule consultants' who have the expertise to make critical and relevant judgements, but were sidelined, in the meantime the vastly overpaid executive staff leave with pay outs and merely go on to a highly paid positions at yet another Health Trust. There is something seriously wrong in public life. Personally I abhor how much the top strata get paid whether it is in the public or private sector for their so called expertise when they are failing at the most basic level.
