Calliste isn't my name either.
It sounds quite French though, reflects my ancestry 😁
Yes I gathered that as it's an anonymous forum. Who are referring to you say 'either'?

I came across this article posted on MN.
It strikes me as very perceptive as Harry yet again drags up his mother’s death at the Invictus Games.
It’s so inappropriate and disrespectful to those thousands of injured servicemen and their relatives that an over-privileged, extremely wealthy individual constantly turns the subject to himself.

Of course there is a point as it didn't just include that one sentence.

Calliste. Meghan's name isn't African or Indian sounding.
So there was no point in your link then.

You should seen the side eyes we were making last Christmas when our parish priest decided that Midnight Mass was an appropriate time for a long theological sermon. He could not be more white European, but the subject and length were too long for the occasion.
That is exactly what happened at H&M's wedding. Someone expected to make a brief sermon, went on for far too long and everyone was wonderin, in an embarrassed way when he was ever going to stop,
Oh goodness, you should have heard the (white) curate at my DD's christening.
Talk about fire and brimstone, hell and damnation !! On and on he went.
Everyone still remembers it all these years later.
Itss strange that the RoyAl are obsessed with their own protocol , curtesying, walking in order of seniority and referring to them by their titles. But really this showed they have the manners of pigs when it comes to other people's culture.
Danny Baker I won't repeat your post Daddima
Well, he's just vile, isn't he.
He doesn't reflect the views of the majority, just a few sick individuals.

Example of racist comments from press ?
And ‘death threats from far right groups’?
And surely the comparing of their child to a chimpanzee was a posting of a photograph by Danny Baker, for which he subsequently lost his job?
I do believe the claim in the article linked by Wellsrose that people with African or Asian sounding surnames find it more difficult to get job interviews.
Meghan must have passed the job interview because she got the job.
Mind you, she probably didn't listen during the months of induction.

^You can actually see the side eyes that Catherine, Zara and Camilla were doing when the black pastor was giving his sermon^.
And no wonder! Talk about not knowing when to shut up! I assume his rant (sorry sermon) over ran somewhat, and timing is quite important in royal circles.
Oh, I loved him, but must admit I was giggling at the length of the sermon. I'd like to go to one of his services.
Thank goodness I wasn't able to go to the wedding! I could have been caught on camera.
This was an obvious blow as it left them with only Harry's £30 million from his mother and Meghans $5 million. Sounds like an absolute fortune
Jaberwok Don't forget the £14 million which was left to William and Harry by the Queen Mother, the larger share to go to Harry as the younger child, who would not receive as much funding from public money.

What Harry and Meghan do and say, is of very little interest to me. The same as the rest of the RF - I simply don't care.🥴
Whatever.
But, I do think the right wing media are using H&M to bury bad (political) news... anything the Tories have fouled up is buried under a welter of royal drivel...Kate's latest new clothes, what William thinks about Harry, what Kate thinks, what Charles thinks.., yada yada.🙄
Leave them be - they, unlike the rest, are not costing us anything. Not our problem.😗
Yep the are used to make us forget the country is not doing well.
Gosh you all think racism is funny I was actually using the incident today as an example, the sneering comments about it only 4 people are really telling. There has been a huge investigation which has found the Met to be institutionally racist.
So what if the pastor went on a bit. I've been to longer services. It's the way that some cultures worship. The coronation went on a bit and some people have compared it to Monty python sketch Catherine and Zara kept a straight face there. These people are incredibly privileged sitting on a mass of wealth but they can't remain professional in front.of cameras.
As for Meghan looking at Charlotte . She's got a veil on but I'm not seeing hate. Her smile slipped but she had just had.a row about Charlotte's dress so she was may have been peeved. She is human being after all.
4 men a racist country make , !
I agree merlotgran.

Oh come on! That sermon began as a joyous declaration of two peoples’ love for one another but went on and on…and on to the point where those in the congregation, more used to restrained speeches started to see the funny side of such an over the top performance.
Race had absolutely nothing to do with it. Many of us have sat through sermons delivered by white members of the clergy while trying not to giggle.
Even Harry and Meghan exchanged a couple of sideways glances.
Some people will manage to uncover racism in a donkey’s hind leg if they try hard enough. 🤔

You don’t think a lot of people realised she was a woman of colour until the wedding WR? Where on earth do you get that idea from?
X posts Foxygloves,

The "racism" jibe is just so much trumped up tosh. The British public loved Meghan as evidenced by the cheering thousands at the wedding BUT her prima donna-ish behaviour and refusal to act like any of the other members of the RF , including her disrespect for the Queen quickly became evident.
Nobody saw her as a "woman of colour" until she started to make a thing of it. On her own admission she is "not black enough" to play women of colour!
However this thread was ostensibly about Harry and his spurious claims of no support after he left the army and whingeing about "poor me". Moans which do not sit well with the sheer bravery of army veteran amputees or those truly traumatised by their service. The men and women of Invictus. It is despite his victim stance not about HarryI actually dont think a lot of people realised that she was was a woman of colour until the wedding and that is when the press and public turned on her. You can actually see the side eyes that Catherine, Zara and camilla were doing when the black pastor was giving his surname
Have you sern that 4 men have admitted to sending racist texts about Meghan and these are not silly little boys. They are retired police officers in their 60s! Still think its made up tosh?
Why should she be like the other royals. She is from a completely different background.
Have you sern that 4 men have admitted to sending racist texts about Meghan
Four men -OMG a staggering number 😜😜🤪
(Are you bring serious?)
I think the length of the sermon may have played a part more than the colour of the pastor. He did go on (and on)(and on)
Finally why should she behave like other royals?
If you take the rewards you do the job, simples.
In other words if you want the position, clothes, “celebrity” status, and privileges of rank - you have to earn them.
These side looks were nothing compared to the look of pure hatred Meghan gave to Princess Charlotte during the wedding, when the children paraded past her. The P of W noticed, as is evident by his anxious look. Check the video its perfectly obvious.

Yes, she seemed lovely and was very welcomed; it was especially lovely to see Harry so happy with a young woman who loved him as he did always seem to be a bit lost after his other girlfriends ditched him.
They were so well received both here and on tours overseas.

Yes, the thread has wandered off piste (again) and Harry claiming there was no support available to him after he left the Army is hardly credible.
There is support available to veterans through various organisations. Besides that he was not so hard-up that he could not seek private treatment if he needed it.
Perhaps he believes that talking about his problems is a way of empathising with the injured, sick and wounded servicemen and women?
