He has been suspended by GB News for comments made about a female reporter Ava Evans , " who would want to s**g that, the comments were made in reply to something she has said about male suicide. Why do these misogynistic men think that their penis is the thing that women crave? Grow up and get real , Sex is not the B all and end All of everything, and they way they wave it about who in their right mind would.

Rather than debate Fox and his view on the world, he is classed as a deplorable, never to be forgiven, a disgusting human being. I love the liberal left.

This video posted by Laurence Fox gives some more insight into his views on this matter.

But it is also critical of men who have more respect for women. They see them as wimps.

Well yes. You can't have ubermench without untermench.

Poor ex -actor Lawrence Fox has tried to re-invent himself as a shock jock.

He might have got away with it in some of the Republican states of the USA but in the UK; where we have a better educated population, he just looks and sounds ridiculous - a sad looser!

No, it smacks of a belief in ubermench who should have access to women on demand.

Quite!

growstuff Fri 29-Sept-23 20:31:59

"Cucked" also became linked to BLM. The idea is that any white man who sleeps with a black woman is being "cucked" ie tricked. It moved on from there to being used for a takeover by black people generally.

Somehow or other "cucked" and "incel" then became linked. It's nonsensical really because incels claim women won't sleep with them because they've been brainwashed to dislike alpha males, as they see themselves, so an incel couldn't be cucked.

In their confused minds, they blame women who have been brain-washed by feminism.

Fox said "Show me a single self-respecting man that would like to climb into bed with that with that woman ever, who wasn't a cucked little incel."

I don't know where you got the idea he didn't say it on the GBNews show.

Did he actually say that?

A "cucked incel" is slang for a weak or servile man who is involuntarily celibate.

If so, he's employed misandrist language as well - against those who aren't alpha males.

Exactly! But being misandrist and misogynist in the same breath doesn't make anything neutral.

Yes he used that phrase. I thought it ws an interesting insight into the material he is obviously listening to.

That's what I thought too.

I became aware of "incels" a couple of years ago, when one went on a killing spree. I also cane across the word "cuckd", so I looked at some social media groups where this kind of language is common.

I'm not easily shocked, but I wish I hadn't . It really is scary to think there are misogynists who think this way. It's worse than stereotypical "laddish" behaviour or working man club jokes. Fox must move in those circles.

Doodledog Fri 29-Sept-23 20:20:51

He's utterly vile.

I agree what he said was appalling but whatever happened to free speech in this country. Unless he used a swear word then giving publicity to this is plain silly. By the way no one seems to be reporting what the female in question said about male suicide.

Fox used words worse that the swear words you are probably familiar with.

Ah, I see, growstuff. Yes, he is horrible, but if we aren't looking at AE's tweets, it's better not to bring in Fox's other 'indiscretions', plentiful though they are.

I've just been Pfizered too, and my arm is sore 😢.

But he said it during his GB News interview!!! This wasn't something "other".

Right, well in that case. . . grin

Sorry - I am pleading Pfizer armache and flu jab tiredness.

In general Lawrence Fox is a nasty person = “ In 2020, Fox said that Meghan Markle was not a victim of racism and described an audience audience member's description of him as a "white privileged male" was "racist".
A conservative, Fox publicly criticised the George Floyd protests and COVID-19 vaccines in 2020,he encouraged people to disregard the government's social distancing guidance and disobey other public health restrictions After founding the right-wing populist political party Reclaim, he stood unsuccessfully in the 2021 London mayoral election in opposition to what he deemed "extreme political correctness". He gained 1.9% of the vote, thus losing his election deposit.
In January 2020, Fox attracted media attention for stating that the depiction of a Sikh soldier in the film 1917 was "forced diversity" in spite of Sikh soldiers having fought on the Western Front in World War I.”

I haven’t seen what Ava Evans said - but THIS Fox is a thoroughly unlikeable person. It’s a shame because the Fox family in general are generally nice peoples!

I have always enjoyed Laurence Fox's acting career and feel he has been unfairly attacked and targeted since he appeared on Question Time some time ago. He was set up then when he was described as a "white, privileged male" by a woke feminist when he stated that the UK was a more lovely and welcoming place than most other countries. I can understand why he reacts as he does in response to people who feel he must be cancelled because they feel it is their role in life to find things which offend them.

I enjoyed his acting career and I can understand why he felt the way he did on Question Time but he hasn't done anything to help himself since. He has revelled in being controversial and unpleasant. Even his cousin doesn't seem inclined to defend him when asked.

The concept of free speech is not an excuse for abuse of the privilege held by those with a media platform.

Doodledog Look up how "cucked incel" (a phrase Fox used) is being used by the alt-right. What Fox did was respond to AE's comment, not with a reasoned argument, but be demeaning her sexuality.

I wonder why he doesn't refer to Kate Hoey or Ann Widdecombe in the same way. He also attacked her feminism directly as part of his culture war.

Was that meant for me? I know - I am not a Fox apologist at all.

No, it wasn't meant as a criticism of anything you've written. I was about to go out and get Pfizered when I wrote it, so was in a hurry.

I'm just surprised that nobody has mentioned the phrase. Maybe GNers don't know what it means. If there ever needed to be any proof of Fox's misogynist intent, it's there in those two words.

There is being angry and there is being downright misogynistic and outrageously obnoxious.

I would take my partner, plus any of his adult sons , to task if they discussed women in this manner in front of me or their partners. Suicide is a huge issue for men to deal with and as mothers, wives, partners, females we need to support them. The media per se is not helping

Suicide and mental health issues are a huge problem for men and women.

growstuff Fri 29-Sept-23 17:29:54

I don't agree with you orly. What he said was disgusting and there's never any excuse for it. Maybe he should have a think about why feminists take the stance they do. I guess the privileged never like the prospect of losing their privilege.
